Associates and outside advisers have informed Donald Trump that the House has the votes, and he will be impeached.
Nicolle Wallace said on her MSNBC program Deadline: White House, “Donald Trump has been told by close associates that at least one outside adviser that he will be impeached and the only thing standing between him and removal from office is those 53 Republican senators. That’s according to a trump ally and outside adviser in contact with this white house, who describes trump’s small inner circle as quietly coming to grips with the reality that impeachment is happening and a majority of Americans support it.”

Wallace’s statement matches up with the report that the House is planning to impeach Trump for abuses of power related to the Ukraine scandal.
Trump now knows that he is going to become the third president in US history to be impeached, and the only thing standing in the way of his removal from office is Mitch McConnell’s Senate majority. Trump’s new reality explains why there have been no attacks on Senate Republicans as a group. Trump needs these men and women to vote not to convict him.
Donald Trump is going to be impeached. Senate Republicans lack the courage to remove him from office, but impeachment is a stain that this president will carry into the 2020 election.
