Rep. Jim Jordan Blames James Comey For Trump Lynching Tweet

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) defended Trump comparing impeachment to lynching and blamed James Comey for Trump’s “frustration.”

Jordan was asked if Trump’s remarks were appropriate and he answered, “The president’s frustrated. If you had to go through the three years that the president has lived through I think that just is an example of the frustration that the president feels. Remember this all started even before he got elected. This all started on July 31, 2016, when Jim Comey opened the investigation.”

Republicans are arguing that it is James Comey’s fault that Trump is a racist who thinks that his impeachment is the same as a lynching.

James Comey had nothing to do with the impeachable offenses that Trump potentially committed during the Ukraine call. James Comey had nothing to do with Trump’s behavior or his lynching tweet.

None of this is about James Comey.

Republicans are trying to distract the country from their refusal to condemn Trump’s tweet and their insistence of standing with a president who tried to get a foreign country to interfere in the 2016 election on his behalf.

James Comey is not the problem. The problem is Donald Trump and his Republican enablers who refuse to stand up to this president.
