Giuliani Associate Busts Trump and Pence On Ukraine Quid Pro Quo

Last updated on July 18th, 2023 at 11:53 am

Lev Parnas says that he told the incoming Ukranian government that they had to investigate Biden, or Pence wouldn’t attend the inauguration, and military aid would be frozen.

The Washington Post reported, “Not long before the Ukrainian president was inaugurated in May, an associate of Rudolph W. Giuliani’s journeyed to Kiev to deliver a warning to the country’s new leadership, a lawyer for the associate said. The associate, Lev Parnas, told a representative of the incoming government that it had to announce an investigation into Mr. Trump’s political rival, Joseph R. Biden Jr., and his son, or else Vice President Mike Pence would not attend the swearing-in of the new president, and the United States would freeze aid, the lawyer said. ”

If this account is true, and the Trump side denies that it is, Parnas has linked Trump, Giuliani, and Pence to tying military aid to an investigation of Joe Biden.

Guiliani’s associate is going to be telling his story to impeachment investigators this week. No one disputes that the meeting the incoming Ukrainian government happened, but the details are being debated by both sides. Parnas is another person inside the Ukraine shakedown who is willing to talk to save his own skin. There are now multiple witnesses stating that Trump demanded an investigation of the Bidens in exchange for military aid. On the other side, only Donald Trump is claiming that there was no quid pro quo.

This scandal is bigger than Trump alone. There could be enough to the Ukraine plot to take down Mike Pence as well.
