NATO Laughingstock Trump Says He’s A Climate Change Expert Because He Likes Crystal Clear Water

Donald Trump wasted no time in making himself the laughingstock of the NATO Summit in London on Tuesday by claiming that climate change is something he thinks about “all the time.”

In an attempt to prove the laughable idea that he’s concerned about environmental issues, Trump said, “I believe very strongly in very, very crystal clear, clean water and clean air.”

He added, “That’s a big part of climate change.”

Trump said:

Honestly, climate change is very important to me. I’ve done many environmental impact statements over my life and I believe very strongly in very, very crystal clear, clean water and clean air. That’s a big part of climate change. I also see what’s happening with our oceans where certain countries are dumping unlimited loads of things in and they tend to float toward the United States. I see that happening and nobody’s ever seen anything like it and it’s gotten worse. But no, it’s very important to me, but I want clean air and clean water. That’d be number one and number two.

Trump’s stupidity is particularly jarring when he’s on the world stage

There isn’t a day that goes by that Donald Trump doesn’t demonstrate how completely unfit he is to be president of the United States.

But there is something particularly cringe-worthy about watching him on the international stage when he’s forced to surround himself with world leaders who can string sentences together and demonstrate that they understand the issues facing the globe.

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump was already humiliated by French president Emmanuel Macron when the two men were discussing ISIS at the NATO summit. His face-in-palm moment on the environment came when he was speaking to the media alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Donald Trump is manifestly unqualified to be president of the United States. That becomes abundantly clear whenever he’s forced to stand next to other world leaders and pretend to know what he’s doing.
