People Told Nancy Pelosi That They Voted Because Of The Attack On Her Husband

Speaker Nancy Pelosi revealed on Sunday that people told her that they voted in response to the attack on her husband.

Speaker Pelosi, when CNN’s Dana Bash asked how her husband, Paul Pelosi was doing, “Each day takes us closer to recovery. It’s a long haul, but he’s doing well, comforted by the good wishes and especially the prayers of so many people throughout the country. We thank them all for that. And again, so many have said I’m going to be sure to vote because this has gone too far. Anyway, he’s surrounded by our children and grandchildren and the rest, and the doctors say a little less activity, more rest.”

The attack on Paul Pelosi and the targeting of the Speaker were so horrific that it probably did motivate some people to say enough is enough and vote. It wasn’t a determining issue in the election, but the incident added to the sense that the country has been teetering out of control due to right-wing extremism.

The vast majority of the country is tired of Trump, the lies and threats of violence, and the violence Republicans are allowing Trump to inspire. Trump and his MAGAs are a distinct minority in the country. One of the things we may have seen on election day was the majority standing up to take their country back from violence and extremism.
