Ocasio-Cortez Slams Fox News Guest Who Called Her a ‘Little Girl’

Republican political strategist and campaign consultant Ed Rollins was on the Fox Business News program hosted by Lou Dobbs and stuck his sexist foot in his mouth as he attacked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). The ancient right-wing operative dismissively referred to the 29-year-old Congresswoman as “the little girl” with a big “mouth.” It didn’t take long for the brilliant Ocasio-Cortez to fire back with a zinger that may go down in history as one of the all-time great comebacks.

In her response on Twitter she called Rollins a “walking argument” for a 100 percent tax on misogyny.

“GOP loves to insult my intelligence, yet offers *this* as their best + most seasoned opposition to my policy proposals.
If anything, this dude is a walking argument to tax misogyny at 100%
Republicans rob everyone the opportunity of real policy debate by resorting to this.”

Ingraham Whines: ‘The America We Loved Doesn’t Exist Anymore’

Fox News host Laura Ingraham clearly proved herself to be a racist on Wednesday when she lamented that immigration has resulted in demographic changes she doesn’t like.  She said that “the America we know and love doesn’t exist anymore.”

“WATCH: Laura Ingraham: America we love doesn’t exist anymore due to “demographic changes” and immigration”

What Ingraham was really saying is that both illegal and legal immigration have resulted in an American population that is less white and more diverse. To her, this is a tragedy because having people of color in the United States is a bad thing.

Ingraham’s comments were widely lambasted on social media. Democratic Representative Ted Lieu of California tweeted that as someone who served in the U.S. military, he defended people like her who make racist comments. He also pointed out that even though he is of Asian descent he is just as much an American as she is:

“Dear Laura Ingraham: I served on active duty to defend your right to make racist statements. America is not a race or demographic. It’s a beautiful & bold idea, based on life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness. You @IngrahamAngle are no more American than I am or others are.”

New Poll Shows Democrats Have Strong Desire for New Faces in 2020

A new Rasmussen poll shows that nearly three-quarters of Democratic voters want a “fresh face” for their party’s presidential nominee in 2020.

According to Rasmussen:

“Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden are among those touted as serious Democratic presidential contenders in 2020, but three-out-of-four Democrats think their party needs to turn to someone new.”

The conservative polling firm found that seventy-three percent of “likely Democratic voters” believe that the Democratic Party should promote someone new in the 2020 presidential race rather than a Democratic politician who has run in the past. Only 16 percent of poll respondents disagreed with the need for “fresh faces,” and another 11 percent of poll participants had no opinion on the matter or were undecided.

Among all “likely voters,” 65 percent of those Rasmussen spoke to said that the Democrats should find someone new to be their standard bearer in 2020.

Just 19 percent thought that the party should support a candidate who has run previously.

With respect to Hillary Clinton, 58% now believe she has been bad for the Democratic Party and just 22% think she’s been good for Democrats, while 12% say she’s had no impact on the party.

The poll’s intriguing findings are coming at a time when many Democrats are involved in speculation about their chances of beating President Donald Trump in the next presidential election.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), former Vice President Joe Biden and 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton have all been prominently mentioned as viable contenders, and they have all run for president before. Others being mentioned are progressives who have never run, such as Sens.
