A group of Republican attorneys general has threatened legal action against President Joe Biden’s administration over the American Rescue Plan, a historic $1.9 trillion stimulus package that was last week signed into law to address the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. They argue the stimulus package is unconstitutional and example of government overreach. They take particular issue with the $350 billion in the measure that went to states and counties to help them offset the costs of handling the pandemic.
Fox News personality Tomi Lahren said President Joe Biden‘s administration’s $1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief package amounts to little more than “blue state bailouts.”
“It is so blatantly obvious what’s going on, piss poor leaders have been champing at the bit to pass off their blue state bailouts as ‘COVID Relief,’ she said.
Senators recently voted on Joe Biden‘s relief plan. The bill was enormously popular with support from 70% of Americans and more than half of the country’s Republicans.
Still, 0% of GOP senators decided to support the bill. But according to Nancy Pelosi, they’ll be more than happy to take credit for the package when it works.
