Hillary Clinton Unifies Democrats – Opposes Keystone XL On Climate Change Grounds

There must be ten or twenty immediate reasons a person can give for opposing a foreign corporation, TransCanada’s crusade to build a dangerous tar sand pipeline across America’s heartland, and they are all valid. However, the overriding, and immediate, cause for alarm should be the devastation tar sand development, production, and transport will have on…

Obama Hammers Republicans For Betraying Their Country On Climate Change

It was prescient, then, that when President Obama addressed graduates of the Coast Guard Academy and told them that “denying it (climate change), or refusing to deal with it endangers our national security. Anything less is negligence. It is a dereliction of duty and it undermines the readiness of our forces,” he was describing and referring to Republicans.

California Suffers Historic Drought While Oil Industry Wastes 2 Million Gallons of Water Daily

To make matters that much worse, the over 2 million gallons of toxic water the oil and gas industry disposes of daily is pumped into the aquifer and poisons the diminishing underground supply at an alarming rate; so much so that well over a hundred (at last count) drinking-water wells have been shut down by state water regulators and the EPA due to oil waste-water contamination.

Why Isn’t Boehner Touting China Over America On Climate Change?

Boehner and Republicans are also intent on defeating President Obama’s climate change initiatives on myriad fronts such as stripping the EPA’s authority to regulate carbon emissions from coal-fired electricity generating plants, or the air and water pollution related to coal mining. If Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are so intent on comparing America to China, they should embrace the President’s climate change agenda and follow the communist nation’s latest effort.

Bold Democrat Mary Landrieu Should Be Truthful About KeystoneXL

It may have been Democrat Howard Dean who said not long ago that if given a choice between voting for a Republican, or a Republican-lite, voters of both parties will always opt for the real Republican; because they cannot trust a Democrat pandering for votes as a Republican. It is a lesson Senator Mary Landrieu, and soon-to-be-former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, would do well to heed.

Extremist Climate Deniers Claim Historic Climate March Was An Attack On Their Way of Life

The anti-science crowd loves science that gave them automobiles, medicine, electricity, sanitation, and ability to communicate easily with any location on Earth, and they depend on medical science to eliminate threats to their lives. It is curious, then, that when the preponderance of scientists from around the world warn them of an existential threat to their health, well-being, and their nation’s survival, the extremists claim it is “an attack on their way of life.”

Director James Cameron Calls Out Glenn Beck

Director James Cameron was on MSNBC’s Hardball today and when he was asked by host Chris Matthews about the power Glenn Beck, he delivered an ominous warning, “Guys like Beck and the others, I think they are very dangerous to this country.” Some on the Left like Cameron are starting to wake up and realize that Beck, Limbaugh, and the others need to be taken seriously as more than entertainers.

The Political Apocalypse is Coming As the GOP Guns for Palin

Palin’s most powerful nemesis, McCain/Palin campaign strategist Steve Schmidt, will soon return the fire Palin unloaded on him from her book, “Going Rogueâ€. Operation Palin Apocalypse officially commences Sunday night when Schmidt appears on 60 minutes. The only question remaining is how low will they go? This is the GOP after all. The party of Rovian election tactics.

Copenhagen Smack Down: Der Spiegel Reporter to Inhofe: “You’re ridiculous!â€

The ranking Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Jim Inhofe, made a scathingly embarrassing appearance in Copenhagen. While the senator didn’t have any meetings scheduled in Copenhagen, he managed to put together an impromptu press conference, during which he took it upon himself to announce that “global warming was a hoax perpetrated on the world by the UN” and sold to Americans “by the Hollywood elite.”

Not Good and Paw-lenty for 2012

A recent poll in Minnesota by St. Cloud University showed Governor Tim Pawlenty coming in 10 points behind President Obama if Pawlenty were to run against Obama in 2012. St. Cloud is located in the center of Minnesota, part of the extremely conservative 6th district which elected notorious Congresswoman Michele Bachmann to office not once but twice.

Sarah Palin Accuses the AP of Lying About Her Book

A grumpy Sarah Palin posted a note on her Facebook page which claims that the AP’s report on the contents on the book is erroneous. It doesn’t seem to matter to her that the AP has actually read the book, because she said, “And as is expected, the AP and a number of subsequent media outlets are erroneously reporting the contents of the book.”

2012 Watch: Sarah Palin Finally Heads to Iowa

Even though numerous potential 2012 Republican presidential candidates have recently starting blazing a path to the Hawkeye state, the one notable exception has been former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. That is going to change in December, when Palin will come to the state, not to campaign, but to hawk her book.

Obama Approval Rating Bodes Well for His Reelection in 2012

A new analysis by Public Policy of President Obama’s approval ratings found that his approval rating matches his support in the 2008 election. The people who don’t support Obama now, didn’t vote for him last year. 94% of people who approve of Obama support him against Sarah Palin. The numbers are equally high when Obama is matched up against Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush.
