There isn’t much Marjorie Taylor Greene won’t believe. The nation’s first QAnon congresswoman has bought into everything from Hillary Clinton being a pedophile to Jewish space lasers.
Last week, General Mark Milley infuriated Conservatives by talking about white rage. And no one personifies the idea of white rage better than Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Carlson often talks about the persecution of white Americans during his show. On on Monday night, he said that he himself is a target of the government.
In the days after the January insurrection, few Conservative lawmakers or media members were willing to defend the rioters. As time has gone on, there has been a push by Republican Reps. and Fox News personalities to downplay the events of that day.
Donald Trump is a much weaker figure than he was a year ago. He’s obviously no longer the president and doesn’t have the massive platform that comes along with the office. And he’s been banned from Twitter where millions of people listened to his rants.
With every day that Donald Trump is out of office, the QAnon movement gets weaker. And while many members have decided to stop following the theory, the FBI worries that others could become more violent.
As more and more Americans get inoculated against COVID-19, the anti-vaccination people seem to be getting increasingly desperate.
During a Tuesday night hearing in Ohio, a doctor named Sherri Tenpenny made some wild claims about vaccinations. She told lawmakers, “They (people who have gotten their shots) can put a key on their forehead. It sticks. They can put spoons and forks all over them and they can stick because now we think that there’s a metal piece to that.”
Slowly but surely, the fight against COVID-19 is coming to an end. A fair amount of people in the country are now fully vaccinated and businesses are fully opening.
And now that Donald Trump is now out of office, Republicans are focused on gaslighting the public on his leadership during the pandemic. One of the ways they choose to do so is by attacking Dr. Anthony Fauci. Fauci appeared on Meet the Press Daily on Tuesday and ripped into some of his critics.
Donald Trump has been sitting in Mar-a-Lago and stewing for months. Unable to air his grievances on Twitter, the former president instead calls into Fox, Newsmax and OAN to talk about what’s troubling him.
There are plenty of GOP lawmakers who want Donald Trump to be the past, present and future of their party. Lindsey Graham regularly gushes about his importance to the GOP. Republicans in the House of Representatives recently ousted Liz Cheney from leadership for not showing proper deference to the former president.
Barack Obama did not give Donald Trump much advice prior after the former was elected president. One person Obama did warn his predecessor about was Michael Flynn. There were increasingly strange rumors about the Army General.
Once it became clear that Donald Trump had lost the 2020 election, Conservative media immediately went to work trying to make him feel better. And a big part of that effort was calling the integrity of the election into question.
It seems like Donald Trump‘s loss in November has deeply affected Tucker Carlson. Each night, the Fox host delves deeper and deeper into conspiracy theories and paranoia.
During his Monday night broadcast, Carlson had a meltdown over mask wearing. He urged his viewers to harass people who wear masks outdoors. Even worse, he said that people should call child protective services on parents who had their children wear masks.
On Tuesday, senate lawmakers had the opportunity to question FBI Director Christopher Wray about the January 6th insurrection. Many of the Republican senators, though, were more interested in asking about MS-13 and Antifa and absolving Donald Trump for any blame.
Last week, videos emerged of Marjorie Taylor-Greene harassing student activists and hinting that Nancy Pelosi should be executed. This wasn’t new behavior from the QAnon believing, conspiracy theory spouting congresswoman.
During one of the “elite strike force” press conferences, Sidney Powell accused everyone from Republican lawmakers to Hugo Chavez (who’s been dead for 7 years) with conspiring against Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
Candace Owens has had quite a meteoric rise in the last 5 years. She claims that before Donald Trump, she was a Democrat. But after the Gamergate controversy, Owens says that she became a conservative overnight.
Over the least year or so, Donald Trump has often been upset with Fox News. At first, the president mostly had problems with straight news anchors like Shep Smith or Chris Wallace. But after the network called Arizona for Joe Biden on election night, all hell broke loose.
In the days of Donald Trump, the Republican party has been more and more willing to buy into conspiracy theories. From climate denial to QAnon congresswomen to climate denial to Burisma, nothing has seemed out of bounds.
Donald Trump is not having a good day. He felt much better about things on Tuesday night before the counting of the ballots that had been received by mail. But now he’s in full feral mode and attacking everyone and everything.
Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon was arrested today on charges of mail fraud and money laundering. The indictment against Bannon came from the Southern District of New York and not the FBI.
Since the alleged crimes involved the mail, the arrest was made by the United States Postal Inspection Service. While many have not heard of them, they are not new. In fact, the Inspection Service is the oldest federal law enforcement agency and was formed by Benjamin Franklin.
