Voter suppression has been a flash point in the Georgia governor’s race, where Democrat Stacey Abrams would become the first African American woman governor of any state if she beats Republican secretary of state Brian Kemp.
There is a lot of euphoria among Democrats about Stacey Abrams possibly becoming the nation’s first black female elected governor. There is also the inescapable fact that Georgia has not elected a Democrat as governor for 16 years.
Before Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Karen Handel conceded today, Georgia Republican Representative Jack Kingston was on the radio show "America's Morning News" with John McCaslin & Amy Holmes when he expressed his displeasure with Sarah Palin sticking her nose into Republican primaries all over the country, and said he thought Georgians would be "doin' their own thing". Kingston prefers Palin "butt out" of Georgia politics and urges Republicans to "rethink Palin as someone who shoots from the hip."
Yet another Palin loss in Georgia...... The media dubbed "GOP kingmaker", huh? More like a Mama Grizzly slinking away with her tail between her legs. Karen Handel, the Palin endorsed and pushed GOP Georgia Governor candidate, conceded today after losing to primary opponent Nathan Deal, who was endorsed by Mitt Romney.
