MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough ripped into conservative radio host Larry Elder after Elder urged his supporters to report any instances of voter fraud on an online form in a bid to challenge the results of California’s recall election.
The hosts of “Fox and Friends” are pushing unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud ahead of California’s recall election, which will determine whether incumbent Governor Gavin Newsom will remain in office amid conservative backlash against Covid-19 restrictions.
The majority of Californians are opposed to recalling Governor Gavin Newsom, according to a new poll.
The poll, conducted by the University of California-Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies for the Los Angeles Times, found that 60% of California voters would reject recalling Newsom compared to just 39% who say they support removing Newsom from office.
California has suffered through the Coronavirus over the last year and a half. And due to a quirk in the recall system, Republicans have a shot at taking over the governor’s office.
The chief candidate for the GOP is Larry Elder, a businessman and radio host. Elder has made countless offensive comments in the past that don’t seem to represent the will of most Californians.
