In a post-election episode of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough and political analyst Mark Halperin insisted that the Trump victory should have been foreseeable by anyone watching and thinking rationally. The signs of disaffection with Washington were everywhere, and the antipathy to Hillary Clinton—and the Clintons as an institution (and foundation!)—glaringly saturated the electorate. If, again, our elites and the elite media had simply listened to the average American, whom they supposedly condescendingly ignore and even disdain as they huddle up in their bubbles of polls and self-involved punditry, this outcome would have been obvious. So the story now goes—as it is now told by that same supposedly elite media covering its tracks.
During Super Saturday coverage, an all-male panel on MSNBC led by Chris Matthews cut away from Hillary Clinton's speech to discuss how she needs to speak more softly when she's in front of a microphone. The three men then mansplained that this isn't a matter of gender, in case anyone was wondering.
At the beginning of Monday morning's episode of Morning Joe, host Joe Scarborough said that he was sick and tired of the Ferguson protests because they are based on "lies" and that it is sad that Michael Brown has become the face of black oppression because he was a "thug."
During a segment on Monday morning's edition of Morning Joe, host Mika Brzezinski slammed Republican politicians who are trying to go after Hillary Clinton due to the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
The party that has offered us every kook who walks in off the street would really like to wish away New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
The party that gave us Sharron “Rape Lemonade” Angle and Christine “I might be a Witch but I Don’t Know where my Vagina is” O’Donnell, and Sarah “I can see Russia from here” Palin, and Todd “Legitimate Rape” Akin, and Michele “Urban Legend” Bachmann, and Rick “Don’t Hate on the Crusades” Santorum, and Richard “God Wanted you Raped” Mourdock, and Joe “Question me and I’ll Handcuff You” Miller, and Rand “Serial Plagiarizer” Paul, and though we should all vote for them as often as we could (to make up for all those minorities that weren’t going to be allowed to vote you betcha) just doesn’t think Chris Christie is ready for prime time.
Was it the day Romney lost the election? That's one of the reactions to Mitt Romney's 47 percent secret video.
A Ken doll could give more substantive answers to questions, but then maybe that's Mitt Romney's intent.
