It has been a wild day for Florida Representative Matt Gaetz. Earlier in they day, many were surprised by rumors that the Trump sycophant could be leaving his post to go serve as a political commentator on Newsmax.
When Donald Trump was president, the lawmakers most willing to by sycophantic to him became Republican starts. People like Jim Jordan, Paul Gosar and Louie Gohmert earned notoriety by sticking close to Trump.
This year saw both Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene were elected to congress. Prior to that, Republican voters had elected people like Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar and Marsha Blackburn to office.
