During Thursday's broadcast of The Rush Limbaugh Show, conservative blowhard Rush Limbaugh made the unbelievable claim that the Great Recession, which took place from December 2007 to June 2009, was President Obama's fault.
On Friday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the jobs report for the month on May. For the fourth month in a row, American employers added over 200,000 jobs. For May, we saw 217,000 nonfarm payroll jobs added to the economy.
Republicans however, being true conservatives, are pushing for more austerity in spite of the devastation it is causing in both the U.S. and Europe.
For the past two years under Republican rule, America relinquished its leadership position to Europe and became a devotee of austerity economics and followed the Eurozone into economic contraction.
Americans can hardly take much more economic abuse from Republicans and Wall Street CEOs, panting to cut spending under the guise of debt or deficit reduction just to enrich wealthy industrialists.
