Pope Benedict Blames Society Not The Church For Child Sex Scandal

It is a modern-era phenomenon to shirk responsibility for one’s actions that at one time was the domain of criminals and spoiled little children. In the past, the clergy preached that unless one accepted responsibility for their actions and repented, they were still sinning. So, in keeping with the tendency of today’s mindset of deflecting blame, the Pope stated that the church’s child sex-abuse scandal was a product of secular society where child abuse is commonplace.

There is a sickening trend in this country of conservative Christians decrying science as fraudulent, and it affects everything from addressing global climate change to stem cell research. It will have long-term effects on America, its standing in the world, and the health of millions of Americans. Whether or not it is because conservatives are too stupid to understand science, or too steeped in ancient Jewish mythology, it is harmful to every person in America.

The Hackery and Mendacity of a FOX News Legal Propagandist

We should not expect much out of FOX when it comes to reporting the news. Sure, it can be argued that there is no news that is undistorted by spin, but there is spin and there is propaganda, and there is outright fiction. If you are going to step before a camera and say something, it should at least be made clear to the watcher if what you’re saying is fact or fiction. Peter J.
