Sarah Palin says Barack Obama lacks “cojones.” This, we might note comes from a woman who fully thoatedly endorsed a secessionist movement in Alaska. To Sarah Palin, cajones equal secession and betrayal of the Constitution of the United States of America.
Today’s conservative Christians, who now dominate GOP ranks, are telling us the same thing of the United States, that our nation is the successor to Rome, a new Rome of god’s design. A new City of God. Since there is no evidence to support the “City of God†model, conservatives have decided to invent some. They have taken to the task with great relish, willingly abandoning not only our own 200 years of history, but every single year since the 13th century, including the only real bright spots, the very secular Renaissance and Enlightenment periods.
Losing the 2008 presidential election has sent the Right Wing over the edge, as their sense of presidential entitlement has been violated, and they are angry. They are angry because the government is no longer engaging as what they see as its divine role of corporate greed enablement, and to show their scorn they have decided to shakedown the American people by refusing to let the business of the country be conducted. Haley is the front-runner in the Republican primary for Governor of South Carolina and she has been accused of having an affair with a staffer by said staffer who recently announced the affair on his blog. In reality, this isn’t persecution, this is politics.

Palin quoted Thomas Jefferson, whose prophetic quotes suggest he saw Palin coming.

He uses the idea of representative democracy and majority rule to qualify repression of the Muslim faith and sanction Christianity as the official religion of the United States of America.
On his radio show today, Glenn Beck finally seems to have gone off the cliff as he not only claimed that God has given him a plan, but also he is carrying out God’s will and anger. Beck told his listeners that they it is God’s will that they get behind him and follow him. He said, “When we were starting the TV show there are things that I did that I wouldn’t do now because I had to be more of an entertainer.”
