According to new Pew Research survey released today, there are a ton of negatives for any candidate running for election in 2010, but there is no bigger negative, except for supporting the bank bailouts, for a candidate than an endorsement from Sarah Palin. 42% of those surveyed said that a Palin endorsement would make them not vote for a candidate.

On his MSNBC show Countdown tonight, host Keith Olbermann critiqued Sarah Palin’s Mama Grizzlies video for her SarahPAC. Huckabee anointed himself the man who can beat Obama in 2012, “I end up leading a lot of the polls. I ‘m the Republican that clearly at this point does better against Obama than any other Republican.”

On his radio show today, Glenn Beck came up with a solution to the Gulf oil spill. He thinks that Sarah Palin should use her oil industry expertise hold an oil spill summit where she and her team would come up with ideas fix the leak. Beck said that Palin has, “the connections and the knowledge to put a team together and say Mr. President, this is what we do.”
On his MSNBC program Countdown tonight, host Keith Olbermann used his nightly Tea Time segment to blast Sarah Palin’s big solution to the Gulf oil spill, prayer. Olbermann said, “Well There you have it. A Palin presidency preview in microcosm, something bad happened, don’t worry, God will fix it.”
Since 2009 when Sarah Palin boycotted all, non conservative political media, her behavior has been picked up on by Republican Tea Party candidates like Sharron Angle and Rand Paul with the result being that voters are now expected to make a decision on these candidates without much information, which can only lead to disastrous consequences for our democracy.
Sarah Palin turned up on The O’Reilly Factor tonight and claimed that she knows how to stop the Gulf oil leak. Palin claimed that we should rely on foreign countries to fix the oil leak, “What the federal government should have done was accept the assistance of foreign countries, of entrepreneurial Americans who have solutions…who can’t even get a phone call returned.”
If you still don’t believe that Sarah Palin is running for president in 2012 it is being reported that Palin will soon be visiting Britain and has requested a photo op with Margaret Thatcher as, “as part of a bid to enhance her claim to be the ‘heir to Ronald Reagan.” Palin has not requested a meeting with current Prime Minister David Cameron.
In typical teabagging style, the Palin endorsed candidate (you can just fill in Clown Show Tea Bagger or Pretend Conservative, whichever you feel fits best but in this case, it’s a toss up) Clint Didier (Republican running for US Senate in Washington) was for farm subsidies before he was against them. And by for, I mean he took the money for himself, before he decided government money was evil and harmful to others and makes them dependent on the federal government.

Sarah Palin was on Fox News’ Fox and Friends this morning to argue that the oil spill in the Gulf is not a good enough reason to not, drill, baby, drill. Palin said, “We still need to drill, baby, drill.” She also bogusly claimed that without offshore drilling energy production would be, “outsourced.” Does she understand that the oil belongs to the companies, not the American people?
On the debut of the Fox Business program Freedom Watch today, Rand Paul emerged from hiding today long enough to hear Sarah Palin tell him, “Yeah, it’s a double edged sword isn’t it, if my name gets attached to your candidacy, and here you are being misconstrued by the lamestream media, and they take things out of context.”
The Des Moines Register released their new 2012 GOP poll for the state of Iowa today, and as expected the three most well known names, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Sarah Palin lead the pack. What is a surprise isn’t the overwhelming favorability of Romney, but the high unfavorabilily rating for Palin, who is not favored by 39% of the state’s Republicans.
Sarah Palin continued her desperate quest to inject herself into the Gulf oil leak story by appearing on FNC’s Hannity tonight to urge President Obama to, “humble himself,” and, “call those around you on a non -partisan basis that could give you the best advice.” Palin seemed to suggest that the black president needs to be more humble and rely on white advisers like her.

FNC embraced the Tea Party and saw its ratings fall 6%, while MSNBC’s have grown by 3%. In other words, since Fox News embraced the Tea Party, they have lost over 120,000 daily viewers.
Sarah Palin’s 2012 strategy has now become so obvious that even the mainstream media can’t miss it. She is out to sell herself to Republicans as the heir to the legacy of Ronald Reagan. From her real American stories to constant name dropping of the former president, Palin seems stuck in the 1980s, and obsessed with reanimating the corpse of a political era that has long since past.
Author Joe McGinnis was on NBC’s Today show this morning in an attempt to bat back some of the wild accusations that Sarah Palin has been posting on her Facebook page about him. McGinniss shot back at Palin by comparing her to the Nazis, “And that’s the same kind of tactic and I’m not calling her a Nazi, but that’s the same kind of tactic that the Nazi troopers used in Germany in the ’30s.”
On his MSNBC program Countdown, Keith Olbermann, while discussing Sarah Palin’s latest paranoid freak out over getting a new next door neighbor in Joe McGinnis mentioned that what Palin considers the family “swimming hole” is really a 350 acre lake, with public access, because you know all real Americans have a lake in the back yard for swimming.
Fox News issued a warning and a thinly veiled threat to investigative journalist and author Joe McGinniss, who is writing a book about Sarah Palin, Alaska, and the oil industry. On Fox and Friends today, Steve Doocy said, “Mr. McGinniss if you’re watching right now, I would be very careful wearing hats out there because in the wrong hat, in the wrong light, could appear to be antlers.”
Sarah Palin took to her Facebook page to defend yet another persecuted Christian (aka, Tea Party favorite) in South Carolina, Nikki Haley. Haley is the front-runner in the Republican primary for Governor of South Carolina and she has been accused of having an affair with a staffer by said staffer who recently announced the affair on his blog. In reality, this isn’t persecution, this is politics.
On Fox News tonight, Bill O’Reilly took up Sarah Palin’s latest conspiracy theory that Obama is more worried about campaign cash then cleaning up BP’s mess. Not surprisingly, O’Reilly disagreed with Palin, and said, “Oil companies give big time money to both parties…John McCain got a lot of money from oil companies. Sarah Palin gets money from oil companies.”
Sarah Palin was on Fox News Sunday today and when asked about Rand Paul’s comments on the Civil Rights Act, she blamed the media, specifically Rachel Maddow. Palin said, “Being able to engage in a discussion with a TV character media a media personality who perhaps had an agenda in answering the question and interpreting his answer as she did.”
By any standard Republican Kentucky Senate nominee Rand Paul has had a terrible week. He followed up winning the GOP nomination on Tuesday with a disastrous appearance on the Rachel Maddow Show, which he followed up with an even worse appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America where he defended BP and the oil spill. Most telling is the way that his Tea Party backers, including Sarah Palin have remained silent on his comments.
Sarah Palin took to her Facebook page to blast the Obama administration for dividing the country on the issue of immigration reform. Palin continued to defend the AZ law, and then added this nugget, “They can also criticize bills (and divide the country with ensuing rhetoric) without actually reading them.” All the while Palin is traveling across America dividing the GOP on the immigration issue.
On her MSNBC show tonight Rachel Maddow explained how Sarah Palin gave a giant gift to the Democratic Party over the weekend by Arizona’s immigration law, “Sarah Palin’s ecstatic endorsement of Arizona’s papers please law and the governor who signed it is a very exciting moment for Democrats.” Maddow explained that the GOP has been tripping itself up with immigration politics for 150 years.
