The women confronted Flake as he was in an elevator and the Senator from Arizona couldn’t look them in the eye. At one point, as one of the brave women was explaining to Flake the message that he was sending to all women was that they shouldn’t bother coming forward because they will be ignored, Flake could look at them, so the women demanded that he look at them while they were speaking to him.
The moment perfectly captured both the Republican cowardice and the courage and backbone of the women and men in this society who are saying no more. Republicans are not only on the wrong side of history. They are on the wrong side of humanity.
Congratulations, Republican Party. You may yet gain your Supreme Court justice, but in the process, you are losing an entire country.
