Russia Pressure Gets To Trump As He Cracks And Goes On Deranged Trade Tirade

The Russia scandal is causing Trump to crack as he went on a rant about trade that was deranged and out of touch with reality.

Trump said, “We’re not backing down. We have had a bad deal with Mexico. Very bad deal with Canada. It’s called NAFTA. Our factories have left our jobs have left our country. For many years, NAFTA has been a disaster. We are renegotiating NAFTA, as I said I would. If we don’t make a deal, I will terminate NAFTA. But if I do make a deal that’s fair to the workers and the American people, that would be I would imagine one of the points we’ll negotiate. There will be tariffs on steel for Canada and for Mexico. We’ll see what happens. But right now, 100%. But it could be a part of NAFTA. And I just got a call from the people who are right now in Mexico City negotiating NAFTA. Mexico and Canada want to talk about it. But if they aren’t going to make a fair NAFTA deal, we’re just going to leave it this way. People have to understand. Our country on trade has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world. Whether it’s friend or enemy, everybody. China, Russia, take people that we think are wonderful, the European Union, we can’t do business there. They don’t allow. They have trade barriers that are worse than tariffs. They also have tariffs, but they have trade barriers far worse than tariffs. And if they wanna do something, we’ll just tax their cars. If they send it here like water. We may have friends but remember this. We lost over the last number of years $800 billion a year. Not a half a million dollars, not 12 cents, we lost $800 billion a year on trade. Not going to. Happen. We have to get it back. And the biggest problem is China. We lost $500 billion. How previous presidents allowed that to happen is disgraceful. But we’re going to take care of it. Thank you all very much. Thank you. I don’t think you’re going to have a trade war. I don’t think so.”

The Trump rant over trade is really all about the Russia investigation. Trump can’t fight the Russia investigation. He is angry and depressed, so he is lashing out on trade. Trump is picking fighting with Republicans because he feels like they haven’t protected him from the Russia investigation.

Trump’s trade outburst is his way of venting his anger and trying to appeal to his base.

The problem is that this is actual US economic policy, and it will have consequences for the American people. Trump doesn’t think that there will be a trade war, but he is wrong. A trade war is a certainty if he continues down this path, and the reason why countries don’t fight trade wars is that they kill economies. Trump can’t handle the heat from the Russia scandal, so he is going to start a trade war.

The president is out of control, out of his mind, and may soon find himself out of office.
