Rep. Jackie Speier Calls The Whole Kavanaugh Process Rigged

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) spoke the blunt truth when she said that she thinks that the whole Kavanaugh confirmation process has been rigged.

Speier said on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber:

I must tell you in respect to the whether or not he will — whole process has been rigged. If anyone has been on trial here, it’s been sexual assault victims. Doctor Ford gave the most incredible testimony. She had the president of the United States saying she was credible. Then he mocked her within days after making that statement. This is a ram job.

This is clearly a Mitch Mcconnell effort to get the anywhere van that they’ve been seeking for a long time. Having a majority of conservative justices on the supreme court guarantees them 30 years of being in control. Men and women will go to the polls because Congress still has a voice here. We still have the power to check and balance the other two branches of government, and we need to stand up.

Republicans have done everything that they can think of to rig this process in favor of confirming Brett Kavanaugh, but as of this writing, they still do not have the votes needed for confirmation. This has been a rigged process that will taint Kavanaugh and the Supreme Court if he is confirmed, but this story isn’t going to end with the confirmation vote.

Should Democrats win back the House, they are going to investigate the allegations against Kavanaugh. It is very possible that someday in the future, Brett Kavanaugh could find himself impeached.

Republicans think that they are winning today, but they are setting themselves up for losses for decades to come.
