Democrats Are Ready To Wreck Stephen Miller

House and Senate Democrats have made it clear that Stephen Miller is going to be the target of congressional investigations, so Trump’s new chief of staff is set to backfire on him.

The big takeaway from Trump’s decision to elevate Stephen Miller to White House Chief of Staff is that the president is doubling down on failure.

Democrats have already seized on the Miller promotion to highlight how Trump’s new chief of staff is more of the same that voters just rejected.

Sen. Chuck Schumer posted on X:

Donald Trump learned nothing from his historic defeat. Stephen Miller is the architect of the most barbaric, inhumane policies of this administration. Trump couldn’t have made a worse choice. Our Democratic majorities will fight him every step of the way.

Incoming House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) said that his committee will investigate Miller:

Just days after the American people rejected his corrupt and lawless presidency, Donald Trump is doubling down. Stephen Miller is the architect of the unconstitutional ICE raids that have terrorized our communities and kidnapped and killed American citizens and immigrant families.

Oversight Democrats will continue to investigate Miller for his misconduct, and we will fight against his hateful policies in Congress and the courts.

Stephen Miller should lawyer up.

Trump’s promotion of Miller feels like he is both trying to reward a loyalist as his administration is dying and also hoping to motivate his MAGA base that slept through the midterm election.

The problem is that a new chief of staff isn’t a great motivator, especially as the guy who is still president seems to be retreating into his White House vandalism happy place and has less and less to say.

Nobody gets fired up for the next presidential election because the lame duck president named a new chief of staff.

Miller’s tenure could very possibly be a short fiasco filled with all sorts of things that the chief of staff doesn’t want the public to know.

House and Senate Democrats are on the hunt, and they definitely aren’t going to be intimidated by Stephen Miller.
