A New Fairness Doctrine for all platforms. Redo the FCC Communications Act that unleashed lies on the internet. Impose Ethics and real punishment in all branches of our Government. Pack the supreme court with 4 seats like FDR wanted and reverse course. Investigate like hell, follow the maga money, expose the maga corruption and fire up GITMO.

I agree with you, Tony. The Dems ( my party) have been slow to react and then without much energy. It may be time to go independent.

Let’s not forget, we need to prevail in important election NOW. Races for Governors in Virginia and NJ are very close, PA judges have an important election, there’s a special election in Texas and Newsom needs Californians to approve his plan! We cannot wait for 2026. These elections are not getting enough attention. Together we can fix that!

Definitely - Local, County and States is where the action is and where we can protect ourselves. I read an article this morning about the Dem State Governors quietly building up defenses and working together under the radar. "It’s Time for Americans to Start Talking About “Soft Secession” - https://cmarmitage.substack.com/p/its-time-for-americans-to-start-talking

Taking back our local, County and State governments is how we win this war in the long run. Putting pro-democracy and pro-freedom people in every elected office you can in your neighborhood, your community, your County and your State is going to be hard to take out. While we are fighting back against the most obvious attacks from our own government, we must be strategically taking back everything as often as these seats come open. For more on how do we get out of this mess and suggestions on how to empower your voice and do what you can, take a read: "Now What Do We Do? The Way Out Of This Mess!!!" - https://bluesmurf.substack.com/p/now-what-do-we-do-the-way-out-of

"Campaign season has begun and we have to get involved and get pro-freedom and pro-democracy people back everywhere from local, to County, to State. Find your candidates, do your research, and back them however you can - word of mouth, share on social media, volunteer at their campaign headquarters, go door to door, donate, whatever you can do. We have to hit the streets not only in rallies, but in campaigns. Get started today - every seat local, County, State and Federal... enlist your friends and their friends and friends of their friends to help.

The right’s cheat or rig or stop the next election is under way and there are many people fighting this on the national level. Spread the word and make it known to your State, County and Local elections boards and leaders that you will not tolerate election interference. Get as many people as you can involved. Help register more voters if you can. The more of us there are, the harder it will be to stop us from having elections and voting. Whatever you do, don’t give up!"

I agree 💯. I read that article. Dem leadership needs to fire all strategists, and stop crushing all the young fired up reps we have out here! Ie, Davud Hogg and Jasmine. Talk about a waste, they kept Jasmine out of leading that committee, and Jerry usnt even alive anymire. DO BETTER! (I support, AOC, Pete B, J Auchincloss, Mallory McMorrow , David Hogg. Im 73, btw. (And Schumer. PLEASE retire!

The mainstream media is being so short-sighted with their obvious support for Trump and his oligarchs. There is no free press in fascism, just state media, and they won't be part of it. All they need to do is look at the press in Russia, North Korea, etc. If our democracy fails, they will go down too.

The saying should be changed even further to say "When they go low, we'll be waiting for them and hit back hard...." indicating that we are on to their tactics and will meet them head on in a no holds barred street fight if they are going to throw that punch.

I have met many people in my life and the one's I've befriended often tell tales of how they grew up. The one thread that runs true in all their stories is "my parents told me to never start a fight, but if someone threw the first punch, finish the fight." Bullies lost and in most cases got the beating they deserved or at the very least came out on a draw and a new respect for people who do not throw the first punch, bully those they think are small and ineffectual, or the quiet ones that they learn better than to poke and should have left alone.

We the people on the right side of history would have been OK to be left alone to quietly live out our lives in peace, freedom, and family. But along came an insecure, infantile, racist, bully who managed to work his way up the rungs on the ladder until he got to the top. Now we have the ladder full of his bully-worshippers who want to see people hurt and will help hold us all down while he punches us in the face. But... there is a reason for the saying "don't poke the bear!" and "let sleeping dogs lie."

Exactly. Your writing has been my life experience. One thing sports taught me was how to win. You MUST stay on offense as much as possible, you have to be extremely aggressive, and you have to take advantage of every mistake your opponent makes.

Bullies? No prob. Knock em in the dirt. If they get up knock back in the dirt again. It works.

I grew up with an older brother who liked to fist fight. Well, I didn't like to fist fight, but I knew how and fought back. He always threw the first punch and I wailed in after him. Did I get him on the ground? No... but he never won.... When we were adults, he once said to me "it is no fun tormenting you because you won't back down until you are hurt. Why don't you just run away crying like your sister?" I just looked at him and said "that ain't never gonna happen..." He stopped tormenting me after that. Even my sister told me I should run away crying so he wouldn't hurt me - I just stared her down too. Running away from tormentors and bullies just emboldens them - I've stood up to them all my life and earned their everlasting hatred - but respectful hatred. The last one ended up in jail. All of them have passed from this earthly coil and I am the last one standing, head held high and still unwilling to take any crap off a bully.

I want to see decisive action from the democratic leaders, not just words. Back fiery democrats who punch back consistently-Crockett, AOC, Sanders, Newsome, Mamdani, and more. Get out in front with actions (like redistricting for gerrymandering). Lose your PACs, so you don’t have to always take the middle path. This is not the time to be timid. We’re very close to losing our democracy.

The best line in your essay was "It is not their fault that the media has, in many cases, ignored their efforts". That, I submit, is the real problem - media that refuses to acknowledge what POS is doing. Now, it's summer. Grocery stores are, for the most part, filled, and prices not yet too high. But winter is coming, and food that we don't grow/produce in the colder months will disappear, clothing for those months will cost more, heating costs will escalate, hospitals will close and health care will cost more or disappear. And still no Epstein files. I doubt even Fox could hide what will be going on.

It’s most likely too late.

Our leaders have stood in shock and allowed this to progress to a point where it is far too late for them to talking about fighting back.
