Dear Congressional Dems:

DELAY.

DENY.

DEFEAT.

DESTROY.

EVERY REPUBLICAN PROPOSAL.

EVERY DAY AND EVERYWHERE.

Charles's avatar

The Four D’s. It will be a battle but one that must be fought.

Magdalena's avatar

Congrats to my fellow Democrats! Starting right off the gate with strategic plans to fight them all the way! Bravo!!!

ITS Never Happening…'s avatar

Now stick to the messaging like Maggats do!🤬

Marshmallow Smurf's avatar

Yes!!!!!! We need to become the new party of no. Fuck all these republican as$holes. 😒👿

HMorgan's avatar

The past 72 hours have shown exactly what the trumpist/magats values are (or rather aren't). Focus, resist, insist on keeping our democracy alive and well.

Lux's avatar

Alive? Maybe, but "well"? I'm pretty sure that train has left the station, it's barely on life support, and they will be cutting the funding for that soon.

Kathleen Bills's avatar

Any victory is a good one.

Alan Richardson's avatar

It would be nice to have the bill number, a more detailed description of what it proposes, and finally which Rs voted against it.

Helen Avner's avatar

No Rs voted against it. It would have needed 8 Dems to advance (needs 60), and all Dems voted against.

Alan Richardson's avatar

Helen, you are correct. The bill failed because of the filibuster rule, it failed to receive the required 60 votes to move forward. However, the article is unclear on this.

Jaime Ramirez's avatar

Oh, thanks for clarifying that! I thought it was 52-47 against, meaning 5 or so Republicans voted against it. Too bad that none of them did the right thing.

wanda pennington's avatar

Yes. I definitely want to know which Rs voted against it…

Karen Pebley's avatar

Arrgggg. I’m flipping disgusted by those that voted in this administration. 2 years from now we democrats take charge of both houses and in 4 years Democrats will have to take charge of everything!

Patrick Muldoon's avatar

Don't just hope, get involved.

Patricia Jones's avatar

Amen, get involved, don’t leave positive change up to someone else.

We must fight for the rights for everyone including the rights of immigrants who came to escape the oppression of their own country. Once immigrants are pushed out, farmers are going to start screaming because of the lack of labor, the cost of food is going to skyrocket. Then people are going to start screaming “I didn’t vote for this!”. Yes you did!

Professor Smartass's avatar

It partly depends on whether they fight voter purges, provisional ballots, & other ways Republicans choose who gets to vote in states they control

Duane Duffey's avatar

Yes! Keep fighting for women’s rights!

Leah Baum's avatar

I’ve said for years with fascist republicans cruelty is always their point.

Linda Fulcher's avatar

It's a good beginning. Let's see if the Dems hold together. I have serious doubts about Fetterman, and Schumer has no spine.

Sarah Jones & Jason Easley's avatar

Fetterman will be fine. He already said that any talk of him leaving the Democratic Party or going against Democrats is "BS."--Jason

Linda Fulcher's avatar

For now. He was photographed with a J6 defendant. I reserve judgment on him.

Mary Ann Mulvey's avatar

Yes, I don't trust him at this point.

Gail Dragoo's avatar

I don’t know what happened to him but I don’t like it. I don’t trust him at all.

Marshmallow Smurf's avatar

Suuure. I see joe manchin 2.0 in him. 😒

Good trouble's avatar

Fetterman is definitely a disappointment.

Linda Fulcher's avatar

He's a cynical creep who said whatever he had to say to get elected. Now he's bending with the prevailing winds.

lorialice1950's avatar

I loved watching and listening to him when he was Lt Gov during Trumps last term. Strokes change people personality and mindset. After my mom has one she became meaner and started cursing. I’m not sure what he’s doing/saying is part of that????

Linda Fulcher's avatar

I think he's a phony and always has been. He believes in nothing except himself.

Patricia Jones's avatar

Think you are right about those 2

Iammymom's avatar

GOP And their fellow terrorists in the voting boots are not pro-life they are anti Woman and any woman who voted for tRUMP voted to imprison themselves thank you sir I’ll have another

Joy Johnson's avatar

Frustrating that 47 of them voted to pass it. In a country that does not prioritize maternal fetal health, they are so focused on taking away pregnant person's rights. Dangerous to be pregnant in the USA.

BL Foster's avatar

Thank you! 🙏🏼 Thank you! 😊 Thank you! 👍🏼

Cindy Burkhalter's avatar

I agree with the assessment of the Republicans. I am heartened by the Democratic push. I EXPECT every Democrat to push, HARD, every single time the Republicans work to hurt the majority of Americans.

WTH Is Going On?! Chris Berrie's avatar

Good trends for Dems since inauguration. Glad to see some of them taking off the gloves.

Jeff Urdank's avatar

They’re going to need to keep them off. Expose these clowns for who they are. Make them offers they can’t refuse. Find dirt, and bring receipts. 😎🇺🇸

Frances's avatar

We need to keep up the wins big and small

M. Forrester's avatar

Attention Democrats in the House and Senate. Please always remember that Republicans have not and will not play nice. They have no interest in compromise. If you are ever in doubt about how to treat them just ask yourselves, what would Tony Soprano do??

Michael J McGee's avatar

It’s a good start. Now they have to stop the DEI restrictions that Chump just announced today.
