WTH Is Going On?! Chris Berrie's avatar

Our AG in Oregon is one of those involved in the lawsuits against Trump. All of my congressional representatives are also pushing back in numerous ways. They don’t get as much attention as AOC or some of the others with bigger social media presence. But they’re still standing against Trump 2.0 every day.

Washington as well. Go Pac NW!!!

David Johnson's avatar

The west coast is bluetiful just like our Pacific waters and the truth in lopsided politics! 💙🩵💙

Leah Baum's avatar

Thank you from another Oregonian.

Dick Horn's avatar

It’s essential to our Constitutional Republic for the balance of powers be maintained and extremely important that the Executive Branch not be allowed to dictate policies that Congress has not approved.

Kathy Box's avatar

The balance of power is teetering. Today I am furious with the Dems who voted to censor Al Green for doing what we want them all to do.

Sun's avatar

Which Dems voted to censure Al Green? That boggles my mind. He only spoke the truth.

Marsha Sherman's avatar

I never heard of any of these people, but they are all going to hear from me. Thanks so much for this info. Good job.

Sun's avatar

Thank you for providing this info and for contacting them. Grrrrrr!! 😡

Mary Wondra (WA)'s avatar

Boy these folks are from all over..the guy from Florida is probably keeping his head down but the rest....shame on you especially my rep from Washington dist 3.

Kathy Box's avatar

I commented on their IG accounts and messaged anyone who limited comments.

David Johnson's avatar

I thought there were 10 of them?

Shirley Jackson's avatar

Those cretins need to be fired and on their knees apologizing. It was a racial attack. Maybe a knee on their necks. Oh well, ... BtW, what happened to the creeps who strongarmed Al Green?

Marjorie's avatar

I was under the impression that we still have free speech, well it depends on where you live, too. Here, in FL, the Governot (yes, not) claims FL is the freest state. Other than book bans, abortions, voting if you are black, care about over development, support public education and more. At least after the next hurricane Desatan won't have to worry about denying WOKE assistance to the storm victims..

antipode77's avatar

King Trump will visit Florida.

Throw some toilet rolls into the eagerly waiting crowd. Photo's will be made. King Trump disappears. The disaster victims will wait and wait and wait for any assistance from the Trump regime.

Debbie Rathert's avatar

Agree. Why censor a voice that needs to be heard? These are not normal times. So long as there are no threats, we need to change the rules.

Marjorie's avatar

It is fine if it is the twins, MTG and Boebert though. Despite their lack of sense or reason.

David Johnson's avatar

Yeah when I found out that 10 Democrats joined the Republicans I was furious! I'm sure they all live in purple districts. What a cop out!

Mary Wondra (WA)'s avatar

Glusenkempperez is from Washington district 3 southwest area which is more red than blue. But still....

Marsha Sherman's avatar

I'm with you totally. While I was watching the votes coming up on the screen, I was just flabbergasted to see how many of our democrats were voting with the cut throat MAGAs. I quit watching when it hit 11 of those turncoats. Their constituents need to replace them in the next election.

LaneZane1's avatar

I feel the same way

Dick Horn's avatar

10 did and they should be called out!

Why didn’t MT. Green & Boebert GET CENSORED WHEN they yelled at Biden??!! AARRRRRRGH

Shirley Jackson's avatar

Be careful not to confuse Marjorie Taylor Green who is a cheap Georgia floozy, wit Al Green who is a brave and decent person.

LaneZane1's avatar

I am very angry and Rep Al Green should be applauded for what he did, not censured

LaneZane1's avatar

I know: the hypocrisy of it all! 😡🤬

Leah Baum's avatar

Republicans doubled standards. 🤬

Annette Kikta's avatar

I am so grateful to the Atty's General for fighting for our democracy.

Kate's avatar

Thank you, Judge McConnell!

Damaze zoomer's avatar

I still think that the democratic members of congress are not vociferous enough also they are not as visible considering the seriousness of the events taking place around the country

They should get on podcasts, and legacy mediums especially those that are maga biased and make the case!

Carolyn D. Mack's avatar

Great news from this court and our Democratic attorneys general. The Constitution says the executive must faithfully execute the laws. Congress makes those laws. Plus, the case law about Congress not being allowed to delegate its power ought to require findings against any delegation by Congress of its power that the Executive is trying to usurp here. By the way, usurpation of power is tyranny.

Vickie's avatar

Very proud of our Illinois AG, Kwame Raoul and all the Dem AGs who are taking up with battle.

Dick Horn's avatar

They are our hope.

Deb's avatar

I m heartened by their actions I still think they were pre warned and did very little before now. We need the protests to support this effort

Thomas Buzzi's avatar

Trump is glaring reality why a constitutional republic MUST maintain a division of powers AND a way to rebalance same when one one or another political entity seeks to usurp more power over the other two!

Diane Doctor's avatar

This is great but this administration has no intentions of complying with court orders. They're all about destroying the administrative state, not comforming to it. Musk has created such a mess that it's nearly impossible for them to do so even if they chose to. What happens then?

David Johnson's avatar

If tRump or anyone else defies a court order then they need to be held in contempt and put before the judge and fined and jailed. That is the law isn't it?

Shirley Jackson's avatar

Probably because the Republicans in Congress hated Biden.

Maria Whitehead's avatar

This is also my concern. They will not comply with the ruling..l.

Linda's avatar

Finally, the power of our Constitution defended via our judicial system is the most wonderful news.

Dana Ciolfi's avatar

Well after reading about Congressional Dems who voted to censure Al Green this is refreshing.

Terry Moore's avatar

Could you explain please? Are you for or against the censure? If you’re for it, why didn’t congress censure Bobert and MTG at Biden’s address?

JMcKay's avatar

I am so glad that we have judges who are sticking to the rule of law in the constitution - even though judicial decisions may take longer than we hoped they are going to thwart the authoritarian takeover of our government that Trump and the Republicans want to execute
