Regular People would be in jail for sexual assault, but the "f'd up free press" and billionaire social media keep normalizing this kind of crap. They let the perverts screw young girls and them screw them again when the are grown Women by allowing "the hoax" b.s. stand! Maga is making amerika perverted again. And what happened to Madison Cawthorn and Matt Gaetz anyway?

How can anyone in their right mind think that something Trump did before he bacame President be subject to any kind of Presidential immunity? And how can anyone think that defamation is considered "official presidential action"?

There is very little Trump news that makes me feel anything but despair. This IS a ray of hope, but if he appeals to SCOTUS I am afraid they will expand their definition of presidential actions. So far they have labeled clearly political actions as “presidential”. This is the most corrupt and least presidential man to hold the office. Unfortunately he and McConnell managed to pack the court with ideologues.

I don't believe the Supreme Court gets to be involved in a CIVIL matter like this. She WON her suit against him. A jury of his peers SPOKE and she was awarded this amount - including her attorney's fees (which absolutely pissed him off because he hates Robbie almost as much as he hates E Jean for DARING to stand up to him), so there's that, but something like this does NOT rise to the level of 'presidential' - only in his teeny tiny mind. He needs to pay her the damn money he owes her OR they should send Marshalls to get it!

Nothing trump does can be said to be in the least bit presidential, so his immunity should be worthless.

She's awesome!! There should be an increase the amount due to E. Jean Carroll because of President Rapist's trying to weasel (Apologies to all Mustelidae) his way out of paying her. What if it was the other way around? (Hmm .... bad visual) Felon47 would be raising the roof on how unfair it is!!

Expand full comment
Kelcey Morgan's avatar

Exactly! Every time 34xFelon appeals, it costs E. Jean Carroll thousands of dollars; thus, she should ask the court and be granted attorneys' fees be paid by 34xFelon.

The court should admonish 34xFelon and his attorneys, slap them with penalties, and even jail them overnight in order to teach a lesson. Courts are not for sale; and neither is democracy... Well, that's is the way democracy works best.

I’d guess that the suit Carroll filed was for damages plus attorney fees. Or the law provides for a similar situation. In the long run, whomever loses the case pays the winner’s lawyer’s bill.

There should also be a limit to the number of times one can appeal the court’s decision; especially when it seems as if the loser is throwing whatever they can at the wall to see what sticks. the system needs to be fixed.

Only overnight? A couple of months minimum.

Expand full comment
Kelcey Morgan's avatar

Agreed. I concede that I was wrong about prison only overnight. Many, if not all, of 34xFelon's attorneys should be disbarred. I bet that is a bigly reason that Trump threatened lawyers who represented his perceived 'enemies' was because he is 'black balled' by lawyers. Representing a demanding know-it-all isn't worth risking one's reputation, losing clients, and career over.

She has already won..... for what appears several times courts have voted in her favor concerning what is in reality a bunch of mumbo jumbo that trumps attorneys are using to get the conviction moved to the Supreme Court. A place that has 6 Republicans 3 of which have been installed by Trump. I don't have much hope, but I do pray that the Supremes refuse to hear the case and let the current conviction stand. Be good to reduce trumps bank account by $83.3 BILLION DOLLARS!

It's $83. MILLION not Billion, but yes - it sure WOULD be nice IF a judge decided to change that first letter BECAUSE he's been deliberately stymying the payment after the judge called him a rapist.
