In a sign of how badly this midterm election is going for Republicans, the Trump administration sent Vice President JD Vance to Kansas, a state that the Trump/Vance ticket won by double digits less than two years ago, and this was the scene:

Vance was supposed to be talking about manufacturing and campaigning for Sen. Roger Marshall, but instead he was interrupted by a heckler. at a MAGA event... in deep-red Kansas.

Vance said:

We build this nation! Roger. We build the wall! Oh, I see. Build that wall! I see, I see we have, I see we have a guy who is protesting. Sir So the, the last, the last time, the last time I gave a speech and we had a guy who was interrupting he had the common courtesy to bring a Mexican flag so we knew where he stood.

Reporters at the event have suggested that the heckler was saying something about Sen. Marshall, but JD Vance was doing his poor man’s Trump routine and trying to blame Mexicans or immigrants.

Many residents in Kansas are livid with the Trump administration, and it has nothing to do with manufacturing.

Vance was heckled, and the crowd was small for the same reason that Sen. Marshall was booed at the Kansas Senate debate at the state fair on Saturday.
