I’m so glad for the governor 🙏🏽

The Supreme Court needs to be put into Timeout until a suitable replacement can be found. Those jerks have gone to far in allowing Trump to do dirty.

An outstanding victory for the rule of law and democracy. We are so gratefully reliant on judges and the judicial system . May the decision stand and be respected.

Very well said. I couldn’t agree more!!!

I just wish the legislative branch would do their duty to defend the Constitution and their own members from the violent extremism that is the Trump movement.

As it is now, our only guaranteed path to survival of the Republic is the mass defeat of all Republican candidates in the 2026 elections.

The "R's" in Congress are so clouded in their thinking that they cannot or will not see that they are being used and are dispensable to trump. He has no more use for them than he had for musk, Giuliani, or lindell. He'll bleed them all dry and kick their dying dust to the curb to be washed down the gutter.

Reminds me of the Genghis Kahn character in the Shadow who clouded people's minds and made them do stuff like run their cars into gas trucks and explode, jump off buildings, and stuff like that. The "R's" in Congress all seem to be in some kind of mind control tractor beam - right along with the screaming MAGAs and the jan 6 insurrectionist army. I hope they are happy in that space...

This is a classic takedown of a democratic republic by internal and external forces.

Bluesmurf's avatar

Yeah... but we are not going to go down easy.

Larry's avatar

So Now What To Do About It?

Ignore... Run... Fight... Other?

Eddie Bravely's avatar

Protest now, vote soon.

Larry's avatar

"Hail Hydra!"

So Now What To Do About It?

Bluesmurf's avatar

What do you think we should do about it? What will you personally do about it?

Joseph Stone's avatar

Those republicans know exactly what they are doing! They have been promised that they wont have to worry about winning elections anymore!

Bluesmurf's avatar

Yeah, well, they forgot to read the 'fine print' that in trump's mind is there will be no need for elections because they will cease to exist. Hopefully they will wake up to that nitty gritty little detail before it's too late for them.

The Midterms will be an epic Blue Wave, for sure! I can't wait!

Eddie Bravely's avatar

Only if we can unite to topple the Republican stranglehold on the red states

Larry's avatar

If there is another election.

So Now What To Do About It?

Julie-Bud3000's avatar

There will be. Let's make sure the protests are peaceful…

…oh, and Dems have been winning a lot of recent elections, even in red areas, so voting still works.

There will still be voting.

Larry's avatar

That wish ain't happening.

So Now What To Do About It?

good news. The courts have yet again put Trump and his Cohorts on the wrong side of the law. How many lawsuits have been filed against this Fascist regime?

Larry's avatar

Fight fire with fire. Taco uses the same court crap; has for decades to beat money out of people. As his book writer said, "He wins in court, he declares victory, He loses in court, he bitches then declares victory." sort of like heads I win, tails you loss.

So Now What To Do About It?

Trump usurped his powers in an effort push his dictatorial leanings. He thought he could steal the governors powers and the court would go along with him. This was the right decision, and thanks to a judge who could and did stand up for the Constitution, we now have struck back a blow to an authoritarian rule!

Brenda Gass's avatar

Our Constitution's rules are the right rules. Thank God for the Judiciary.

Joan Penney's avatar

Good to know there are decent judges with brains!

Kailey's avatar

Well I hope Kristi Noem doesn’t get upset over this after complaining about Biden if he would have done it.

I hope she chokes to death on Corey Lewandowski’s dick.

Hahahahaha! Dog killin' c**t needs to be imprisoned. All of them do.

Jeanne Desy's avatar

Hallelujah The judiciary continues to stand strong.

Im thankful for this decision by this judge and I believe that the Trump administration had overstepped their authority by using this for force against a state that Trump seems to be using his position to punish this state and all democratic states for his political views. He has got to be admonished by the Supreme Court for his aggressive behavior for political gain!

Well deserved birthday present

Hope it sticks. It is still just a TRO.

Great. We have no kings and I see he has to pay people on Craig's list to come to fill in for his birthday party. What a joke!

Sandra Blessman's avatar

I hope that it rains and there is a lot of lightning. A message from God😂 get over yourself trump

Bakt's avatar

Really!! LOL (which section of CL? I have to see it for a good laugh).

Michael's avatar

I couldn't be more pleased. But by habit, I'm going to put a lid on celebrating until I see what happens on appeal. Let's hope the administration doesn't go the administrative stay route which could leave things unsettled for months. For now three cheers to the thin black line: the lower court judges who have done more than all of the rest of us combined to slow down the coup.

THANK YOU, Judge Breyer!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
