I want to see and hear the press conferences. The Democrats should put that out there for us see. The mainstream media is no longer for the people. We need medias touch and Substack for our news.

They do put them out there to live on all of their social media accounts. They are available to everyone. Look up Senate Democrats on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and X. They stream all of these. The media never covers them.---Jason

Democrats Legislators must create their own YouTube channel with constant updates and topic discussions, methods which are being used to fight against Vought and Trump. Take charge of our own destiny! You cannot compete for headlines.

Sarah Jones & Jason Easley's avatar

They have them already. Senate Democrats, House Democrats, and every Democratic member of the House and Senate have their own channel. You just have to go to YouTube and search their names.---Jason

But do all of those groups push readers to go to YouTube to see those sites? If they don’t, then most people will not think to go there.

Great, but let’s build a one stop shop: Democrats from across the country. Solution based discussions. The bald truths about the harms being done to us by all Republicans. People don’t necessarily want to search, and don’t we want to create a Democratic movement? I don’t just want to hear what my representative says. I want to feel the pulse of a national whirlwind. I want to feel a momentum building. I want people who have never voted Democrat to have a site where they can check us out. I want us to stop trying to compete for headlines on corporate news, for air time who can only see Trump. They are like rabbits in the headlights.

We want as many people as possible to meet us, see us, hear what we will do for them in the short term, not just the long term. We have so much to share, we have solutions for them and people have a tremendous need - and right - to share their ideas with us. @Robynne-Limoges

They also need one general channel because citizens often don't know who their representatives are!

Great idea! Now we must find ways to push readers to those sites. Otherwise, we don’t and won’t see them. Not all of us live on social media sites. I quit Twitter/X and rarely go on Facebook. I check Instagram only when someone sends me something to see. There are many others just like me in this respect.

Sen. Warnock is one of my excellent senators in deep Red Georgia. He is esteemed here, and, along with Sen. Jon Ossoff, is one of the best Dems in the Senate. But, let's face it, competence shrivels and bluster prevails in MAGA politics. Bluste is rewarded in the corporate press, whereas competence is mostly ignored. A shame...

You are fortunate to have them both. In Pennsylvania, we have Fetterman who is reportedly off his mental health treatment plan, and Trump stooge McCormick.---Jason

As a therapist, I will render the judgement that John Fetterman is mentally ill. He was diagnosed as bi-polar before he was elected, and apparently recovered sufficiently to be functional for a time. However, he is now totally off his rocker, obviously refusing to take the meds that can calm his symptoms. I hope he resigns, but doubt he will. He certainly is not capable of running again. His staff tried for a time to be supportive, but that is an impossibility with a large man who behaves like a lunatic. He needs to go...

Sad, it’s time for some rich democrats to start their own media organisation

For eg,

Netflix founder, Bill gates, Job’s wife etc.

Remember when Ted Turner (a committed democrat) started CNN

We have been trying to get Democrats at the highest levels for years to invest in independent media. They have zero interest in doing so.---Jason

We must not give up on that; we just need to persuade them by presenting the evidence that Indy media is our best hope “going forward.”

I’m glad to get see & hear from Senator Warnock. It’s bad enough that the major outlets don’t do a better job at coverage, reporting & in several cases asking good follow up questions.

Democrats need to constantly look into good independent media.

Celeste's avatar

Yes they should pick at least two independent media shows and advertise there, collaborate with, coordinate with. Medias touch and Politics Girl are good ones. Arron Parnas is another I like. Y'all must do better to consolidate messaging and news. We need a Fox News. But from a strong independent media source.

Georgians are proud to have Warnock and Ossoff represent us in the senate. But we have to fight to KEEP them there. Ossoff is defending his seat in 2026 and it's shaping up to be an ugly MAGA race. Please support him if you're able! 🙏

If Dictator Donny can't feel very secure that through voter suppression the Republican Party will lose control of one or both chambers in Congress, he will come up with some way to not have a 2026 mid-term election at the federal level. Voter suppression has been an important Republican Party campaign strategy for decades and plans are underway for 2026 to involve even more voter suppression efforts across all red states. Only excessive Democratic Party turnout in 2026 can possibly save the country from solidifying Republican Party authoritarian rule that destroys our democracy for good.

Brenda and I are deeply involved in several Democratic Organizations, holding several postions in them, some including as Board Members, one of which I am a Director-At-Large.

We actually ARE doing a lot!

We are actually fighting hard the good fight for our Democracy.

We are fighting not only for Democrats, but also for those who are Independents, Liberals, Purples, etc. AND, we are fighting even for Republicans, Trump supporters, MAGA and Christian Nationalists...

We are fighting for the very right to continue fighting the good fight!

However, the media at every level doesn't publicize much of it. They are too busy concentrating on and hanging on the Word of Trump, his actions, his manipulations, his smokescreens and deflections.

Those sell more than anything Democrats are doing.

Furthermore, Democrats simply do not have the same funding base as their Republican counterparts... we don't have the Big Corporations and the Millionaires and Billionaires filling th coffers to overflowing like the Republicans.

Why?

Because the Republicans are for Big Business and Big Money.

Democrats are typically for the people.

(The above two statements have been proven historically, time and time again.)

This type of thing is accelerating the death of traditional mainstream media. Greedy and spineless to a fault, and now to be considered treasonous, it is to be shunned at all costs by any free-thinking citizen.

In 2025, they can all be replaced with new online offerings.

Yes, you can sell your "TV".

Right on point and hopefully more than just the subscribers to Substack will see his speech. Shame on mainstream news. CBS IS A COWARD as they have proven. ABC IS A COWARD AS WELL. FOX IS JUST OUTRIGHT PATHETIC LIES AND WILL NEVER HAVE MOST OF OUR SUPPORT AND WILL NEVER BE ON THE SAME LEVEL AS THE BIG THREE. NBC is the only hope left.

This needs to get on Meidas Touch Network to reach the large audience that they have. Pass this on to Adam Mockler, Tennessee Brando, CoachD_Speaks, and Ben, Brett & Jordy. Maybe even Ron Flipkowski would pick it up.

Pass it on to Farron Cousins, Brian Tyler Cohen, Chistopher Titus and Cliff Cash. Get it out to Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and Seth Meyers. Even whomever is filling in for Jimmy Kimmell.

But get it out to them.

Does the Senator *ever* give a bad speech?

The over-educated, under-intelligent, otherwise-unemployables from the shallow end of the white upper middle class gene pool known as t he DC Press Corpse are4 useless. They'll think otherwise about covering things like this when they find themselves in the back of the truck headed to Alligator Auschwitz. But then it will be too late.
