This is just breathtaking. The lies continue. A cabal of incompetence. Unfortunately the incompetence could get us all killed

I mean, this is the same group of people that have continued to support the Orange tyrant after he committed treason and espionage by stealing secret docs and leaving them lying around his club for foreign nationals to steal.

THIS IS WHAT YOU GET When you surround yourself with unqualified, incompetent, inexperienced, and less than intelligent sycophants like Trump purposely did. As he said years ago, he loves the “uneducated“. Well, that’s what he got. And that’s what we get, which could be our demise if this entire group of unqualified, inexperienced people with no merit whatsoever, who should not be in the positions he pushed them into, as he bullied Republicans to approve these people when the Republicans knew better, but were afraid to lose something personally… You know the story, so this is on Trump! ALL of it, and every one of them should be fired and replaced by people who deserve those positions due to the merit of their history, their experience and their intelligence. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE, AND YOU CAN’T STUFF THE CHICK BACK INTO THE EGG. WE ARE EXPOSED WITH THIS, AND IT IS A SIGN THAT THERE’S MUCH MORE WE ARE NOT AWARE OF. POTUS must be replaced.

I held a TS/SCI for six years, after passing a counterintelligence polygraph. As a former coworker said when she messaged me about this earlier, “we would have been in jail by dinner time”, if we had done anything so epically stupid as what they’ve done.

Gabbard is either lying her ass off or even more incompetent and unqualified than I already knew her to be.

I find it absolutely terrifying that this happened in the first place, that they are minimizing its occurrence at all, and that heads are not absolutely ROLLING....What if the journalist had not been someone of moral integrity? What if someone who had been on that "text chain" decided to spread that information where it could have caused deaths? WHY was classified information, plans to bomb ANYONE, being discussed in a friggin TEXT CHAIN and not in a secure SCIF facility??????? Maybe I've read too many spy novels, but I KNOW this type of information should not be disseminated over text messages.

Texts are encrypted, but operation related messages for broadcast are encrypted and then encrypted again, and sometimes have a third level of encryption. Lots of fascinating machinery is involved, and nobody is going to figure out what was sent without a supercomputer and a couple of decades.

Tulsi Gabbard is inept, a liar as well as a shill for the Russians. She should never have been confirmed along with the lot of the rest. Republicans own this one, they wanted her even though they knew she was unqualified just as is Hegseth and the rest. This is what dismantling the intelligence community looks like. Liars and shills. So Americans who voted for this, Feel safe yet?

Exactly and yet Sen. King’s Maine colleague, Sen. Susan Collins, voted to confirm after Gabbard “eased some of her concerns” during the hearings. I suspect Gabbard was lying then just as she is now. So whaddya think now, Susan? Proud of your capitulation and blind allegiance?

Relegating national security and the lives of service. men and women to an after school detention. Now, run along and try not to do it again. WTF? There exist so many recognised and mandatory security levels to be set up in advance before such exchanges can take place - OR - it is wilful side-stepping of national security obligations: treason.

This was a good hearing to watch for the grilling that Gabbard and Ratcliffe received. It was a horrifying hearing in what it shows us about Gabbard and Ratcliffe's willingness to lie. Heads should roll, but I fear they won't.

just the words " allowing someone to be fired.." If HE allows it. This is hpw bad it has become. The American people have to go on the street and demonstrate in numbers.

I’m listening in UK to the debacle on the BBC. Unbelievable double standards to put it mildly and as a former chief of the US military has just said rule 1 own up to such a huge mistake..Rule 2 some heads have to roll and Rule 3 intelligence sharing between the US and the world ( apart from Russia I guess) is now under scrutiny and so it should seriously unbelievable..

Liars who put an active military operation in jeopardy and the lives of our military in dire danger. They were on an unsecured chat Thread discussing the specifics of the attack on Yemen two (2)) hours before the attack! Tulsi was overseas and another official was in Russia while on the chat, how irresponsible of them. Why wasn’t hegseth and Rubio at this hearing? They should be held accountable for this breech of security, we can’t afford to have these unqualified people learning on the job at the risk of our national defense.
