House Judiciary Committee ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has demanded that Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito recuse himself from Trump's hush money sentencing appeal.
I applaud Jamie Raskin for calling this out. However, if the past is a predictor of the future, it won’t do any good. It’s highly evident that the radical right-wing Supremes are untouchable. They obviously believe that’s true, as demonstrated by their repeated, frequent disregard of ethical standards that are the normal and minimum expectation for all judges.
I stand firm with Jamie Raskin- and boy, he is a Congressman for whom I have the upmost respect! Alito has continued to thumb his nose at the Constitution, at the rules of the judiciary, at the American people- and I find it rich that the Chief Justice has tried to push the distrust of the Supreme Court on us instead of on their behavior!
Justice Alito has been on the SC for a long time. It is stunning to me that he would ignore
what has been a requirement of the justices from the getgo. They are unreachable - good
heavens - even by the assistance of an 'associate' on a matter currently sitting at the SC. I'm an old woman and truly shocked that this could and did happen. Perhaps I'm too naive. I hope not. Past Eighty

It is about time someone stand up for the rule of law. It is disgusting to witness trump continuously push on the parameters. And this supreme court continuously helps him do it. We, the people will not give up our democracy, no matter how disgustingly trump and his brown coats try to help him.
