Donald Trump has some weird ideas about how to get out the vote for Republicans. Trump tried to rally Republicans by talking about the backside of an Ohio U.S. senator. He gave a speech on election eve that consisted of 25 minutes of talking about the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, grass, and reviving a debunked conspiracy theory about vandalism.
Trump has also called his midterm election campaign rallies crap and complained about doing them and campaigning for Republican candidates.

The president has likely cost Republicans votes in each state that he has visited, as his antics serve as a constant reminder that Donald Trump is the problem in America right now, and voting for any candidate with an (R) beside their name is a vote for Trump.
Republicans are already blaming Trump for their likely loss of control of Congress in today’s midterm election, which is odd considering that they are the party that made the choice to allow a 34-time convicted felon who tried to overthrow the government to be their nominee in 2024.
