Donny Deutsch said, “Nobody diagnosing, but if anybody looks up sociopath, stunningly you’ll see attributes that describe our president. I’m not diagnosing him. The other thing also, I have known him a long time. I looked at an hour interview I did with him in 2007. His cadence was different. His eyes were different. And he’s clearly not well. We didn’t need Michael Wolff’s book to do this. I love Michael Wolff. Almost went into business with him. He’s a fantastic guy. But I don’t think anybody with any reasoning would come up with any of the conclusions. I’m not calling him names. It’s a behavior analysis. If somebody runs through the subway naked and flinging turds against the wall, we don’t need to diagnose him.”

Wallace then played a clip of Joe Scarborough saying, “For the past year we’ve had people around Donald Trump. Even during the campaign saying he’s not mentally fit to be president. And there is such a reluctance and I’m not knocking The Washington Post. They are being conservative with a small “C.” I’ve written twice in my column a quote about one of the people closest to Donald Trump during the campaign saying he’s got early stages of dementia. He repeats the same stories. It’s getting worse, and not a single person who works for him doesn’t know he has early signs of dementia.”

The MSNBC host added, “David Brooks for The New York Times also reported in a column in October that senators who left a meeting with Donald Trump hypothesized he had early stages of dementia.”

Wallace was very careful to repeatedly stress during the segment that no one on the panel was diagnosing Trump. They are not mental health professionals, but the fact that a conversation about this topic could be held on national television, and no one bats an eye suggests that the there is grave national concern over Trump’s mental state and legitimate reason for the discussion to be taking place.

No one knows if Trump’s mind is going, and the public is unlikely to find out while he is in office, but the conversation itself is enough to virtually end the Trump presidency.
