Trump Attacked Oprah In His Latest Twitter Rant

Trump put his Twitter fingers to work on Sunday night, this time to attack Oprah. It was the final message he shared during his long weekend of lashing out on social media.

Oprah appeared on CBS’ 60 Minutes to follow up with a group of 14 voters from Michigan who she initially interviewed six months ago. Trump, who was evidently busy watching the show, proceeded to call Oprah insecure and accused her of being biased in her questioning.

“Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes,” he wrote. “The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!”

As many have pointed out, Oprah is the last in a long list of black people to be targeted by the president for either speaking out against him or showing anything less than admiration for him. Others include Colin Kaepernick, Jemele Hill, Maxine Waters, and Jay-Z. By contrast, Trump chose to stay quiet in response to a 4.5-minute tirade that white rapper Eminem released last October.

Similar to Trump’s habit of immediately responding to terrorist attacks carried out by Muslim perpetrators while staying quiet on attacks carried out by whites against Muslim victims, his decision to go after Oprah only makes his prejudices even more transparent than they already were.
