Trump tweeted:

Trump is worried about impeachment, but his tweets also raise a point that has concerned many Democrats. Trump embraced impeachment as a weapon to use against Democrats to mobilize sympathy and support from his voters.

This is why Democrats aren’t rushing to impeachment

Trump used Rep. Al Green’s comments about impeachment to martyr himself, and with public opinion being firmly against impeachment, this is the bait that Democrats are refusing to take. There is no need to impeach Donald Trump at this time. The threat of impeachment hanging over Trump’s head has the president scared. Democrats aren’t unfair. They are exercising their oversight powers as granted by the constitution.

Democrats already have won an unfair election in 2016 that was tainted by Russian election interference for Trump. Hillary Clinton received millions of more votes than Trump. The issue isn’t fairness, but oversight of a potentially criminal president.

Donald Trump wants impeachment because it will provide him with a distraction that he can use to define the 2020 election.

Trump is worried, but he is also ready to pounce if Democrats move too soon on impeachment.
