Trump blamed the Internet, violent video games, social media, and mental illness, but not easy access to guns for mass shootings.

Here is Trump blaming the Internet:
Trump said, “We must recognize that the internet has provided a dangerous avenue to radicalize disturbed minds and perform demented acts. We must shine light on the dark recesses of the internet and stop mass murders before they start. The internet, likewise, is used for human trafficking, illegal drug distribution, and so many other heinous crimes. The perils of the internet and social media cannot be ignored, and they will not be ignored. In the two decades since Columbine, our nation has watched with rising horror and dread as one mass shooting has followed another, over and over again, decade after decade. We cannot allow ourselves to feel powerless. We can and will stop this evil contagion.”
Trump also blamed video games:
Trump said, “We must stop the deplore the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the grisly video games that are now commonplace. It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence. We must stop or substantially reduce this, and it has to begin immediately. Cultural change is hard. But each of us can build a culture that celebrates the inherent worth and dignity of every human life.”
We need to stop the glorification of violence, like this tweet by Trump:
Trump’s primary method of communication is hate speech on the Internet. Everything that the president blamed for the mass shootings is either things he has done or had nothing to do with guns. Trump blamed a lot of things for gun violence in his speech, but he made sure not to blame the easy access to guns in the United States. Trump’s big statement was a joke. The president has no standing on any of these issues, and it speaks volumes that the White House had to chain him to his teleprompter to try to make him sound like a human being.
Trump has zero credibility, and is utterly incompetent and trying to lead the nation through times of tragedy and crisis.
