Senator Booker expressed my views exactly. We all know what trump’s end game is and that is to justify declaring martial law. Then he can justify so many anti democratic policies. This is just what he wants!

He is not going to declare martial law. He has no interest in that. He is trying to make an example out of LA so that other cities won't stand in the way of his immigration actions.---Jason

Well, I am certainly going to pray that you are correct. But he’s mentioned he’d declare martial law many times before. That has many ramifications we don’t want to have.

Agree, he beat me to the punch. The kettle of orange puss that watched TV for hours during January 6th can NOT claim any high ground for deploying Troops in LA to protest "Illegal Warrants" and kidnapping per the US Supreme Court two months ago.

Not sure he’ll ever regret anything, since he’s convinced he’s something closely akin to Jesus himself - though he’d rather be Putin. He will never admit or even realize he’s demented.

He can be made to pay and go away, but it won’t be easy. Would love to be proven wrong.

I doubt he’ll regret anything - malignant narcissists don’t do that.

But we CAN prevail.

Well, Susan Collins of Maine said "tRump learned his lesson(s)." Wow, Maine could have had Sara Gideon in 2020 but instead Maine pushed Susan over the line by 1% point while also wasting votes on two "independent" candidates. WAY TO GO MAINE, NOT! Oh no, FAFO.

Thank you, Cory, for speaking the truth and calling out the blatant hypocrisy! DT and his enablers must be stopped and held accountable for their abuse of power, corruption and hateful agenda against Americans that don't have the same color of skin as him! DT is a racist, misogynistic, greedy, corrupt, sexual predator and must be held accountable for his crimes and treason!

This new round of corruption and greed started with Ford's pardon of Nixon in 1974 and really took of with Raygons voodoo tax cuts for the rich in 1981 that ended 50 years of FDR's tax increases on the rich from the New Deal.

Anyway, agent-orange enablers are everywhere, Tweekter, Fakedbook, national news, major newpapers, pod casts, gaming sites, wall street, false churches of Christ and the billionaires club because they want fascism in America.

Resist, Volunteer, Rally, Support your local Progressive Group, Support/Use 5Calls.org, Support/Fund PBS, Support/Fund the ACLU, Support/Fund Amnesty International, March June 14, Boycott maga everwhere, Make Your Voice Heard, Turn Anger into Action, Stick Together.

As Benjamin Franklin said, “Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become more corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.”

So, we will see how "virtuous" we really are.

What I don’t understand, is why isn’t the military stepping in to take him out and imprison him? How is it that the citizens of South Korea could take down their lawless president and we can’t?

So, America is having a "nationwide picnic" Jason? Have you really been observing the past 10 to 45 years or the "stare decisis" Roberts court? Name one person, agency, group or thing on this planet that has stopped maga orange don to date effectively since he developed "bone spurs." Our Constitution? Our courts? Our justice system? Our Free Press? Our "Leaders?" Congress? Voters? Stormy Daniels? Covid-19?

We are running out of options and everyone knows this... on both sides.

Thank you for your response. Well… I believe that our democracy is effectively dead already but understand what you’re saying. What alternative do we have as he is acting so lawlessly and we have no mechanism to take action against him that isn’t stacked in his favor, like DOJ, FBI and the Supreme Court. We have no Congress. I would see our military acting as Law and order officers for the country. I realize that it’s not how it is supposed to be, but, I honestly don’t see that being worse than Trump. I think Trump is an Incredibly dangerous and unpredictable man. Any high ranking military officer that has earned his rank the old-fashioned way probably has 1000 times more brains and values than Trump. Of course, this obviously does not include Hegseth. I would see that as a short term solution. I would prefer that then to have us keep going with this monster. I am so discouraged and every day I get more so.

I absolutely agree with Senator Booker. Trump Vance are the biggest hypocrites and they do a lot of things just to distract the American people. I also agree that if you voted for Trump, you voted for this mess but the rest of us and the people that are being hurt the most continue to be affected by this president who has no idea what he’s doing.

A third of Americans didn't want want trump is doing and voted against him.

A third wanted it and voted for it, and now won't take responsibility.

And a third didn't care enough to vote at all, which makes them just as responsible as the people who actually voted for Trump

I read Trump's staff have a stack of executive orders they can pull out when they want to distract Americans from what Trump is actually doing. They are probably all signed with autopen.

Expand full comment
Bluesmurf's avatar

Yes... every statement and accusation is a confession. So their obsessive focus on the Autopen is because they are using it. Remember when trump said, "did I sign that? I don't remember signing that" probably because he did not.

We just need to keep bringing up the tariffs and his chaos of tariffs on and tariffs off, and what Elon really knows - because the Epstein accusation did not just come out of nowhere and there has been zero lawsuit filed for slander - hmmmmm????

And the pièce de résistance is the Big Ugly Bill that is going to bankrupt our Country, put our finances under austerity and another country telling us what to do. Millions of people are going to lose their health care, 100's if not thousands of hospitals, clinics and health care providers are going to shut down their businesses in rural U.S., and people are going to go hungry and die.

That is where we need to keep our focus. It's trump's MO to capture the news headlines by doing or saying something outrageous to distract and get people off the subjects he does not like. So like any good parent whose kid tries to derail the lecture when they have done anything wrong, always bring it back to the real issues.

Cory was my boss for seven years when he was Mayor of Newark, and the two best things he did was advocate and inspire. The Senate gives him that "bully pulpit," and he has used it well, now that he is New Jersey's Senior Senator.

The American People are being left with no choice.

They must physically swarm over Trump's goose-stepping ICE brown shirts.

The right to protest is fundamental in America.

And if you're protesting a criminal government placing itself above the law and the Constitution, as is the case here, full physical resistance is fully warranted by that same Constitution.

Our delusional egomaniacal Commander-In-Thief and his ultra-fascist henchman, Stephen Miller, and the rest of the soulless Republican cabinet and GOP know they can't govern without breaking the law.

To quote Sun Tzu: "An evil man will burn his own nation to the ground to rule over the ashes."

As usual, Trump has miscalculated due to his blinding narcissism, like most, if not all, of his "policies".

This immoral dictator wannabe is about to learn a huge lesson, way before the mid-terms, which he plans to cancel or postpone anyway.

It's time to terminally fix the biggest mistake in American history.

Senator Booker's view is spot on. People need to continue to peacefully protest. Don't let trump provoke anyone into acting out in anger. If we allow trump to silence our right to peacefully protest, we are handing our democracy over to an authoritarian rule. Call your Senators and your Representatives and tell them that these measures which trump is employing are the beginning of a police state.

Keep in mind. During the Black Lives Matter Protests groups like: Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, Boogaloo Boys and Atomwaffen infiltrated cites to incite violence in many of the protests. Notable, former Air Force staff sergeant and boogalloo boy, Steven Carrillo, pleaded guilty in the May 2020 murder of Federal Security Guard, David Patrick Underwood. And, let's not forget about Kyle Rittenhouse that was out for blood in Wisconsin when he murdered two protesters, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and wounded Gaige Grosskreutz with an AR15. Rittenhouse cried like a baby in court and was found innocent by a Wisconsin jury.
