Here are some facts:
1). A person showed up at the hotel with a gun.
2). We have video and witnesses to verify it.
3). That person sent a manifesto to his family before he showed up at security.
4). The family notified law enforcement.
5). MAGA is exploiting the situation to push for a ballroom/save themselves in the midterm election.
6). There is a ton of political spin/effort to exploit coming from the right about this.
If we all start behaving like Trump and ruling everything as fake or real, then facts will die. There will be no facts anymore. Without facts, how are we going to solve problems?
We should be a little more careful and call out the BS when we see it, but don't throw out facts for the sake of bias or simplicity.----Jason

My feeling is that losing our minds and giving up on reality isn't a viable option. I think it is important to keep in mind that his power will be heavily damaged in a matter of months. He will be a lame duck. I really don't think reminding people who used to take pride in their belief in facts that claiming events are staged or fake without any evidence is the same behavior that many Democrats and people on the left used to mock and condemn.

The way I think of it is that he has held the country hostage for all of these years. Even when Biden was in office, we were always hearing about how he claimed he had won, all the lawsuits he was mounting about that and other things, his constant criticism of Biden, etc. I am 70 years old, and although I'm healthy, I worry that I might not live to see our country recover from his destructive actions. And more importantly than any experience I might have, I think about all the people in our country and around the world whose lives have been horribly affected, including all of the people who have been deported, all of the deaths from the elimination of USAID. And the effects on the environment as a result of his policies related to climate change denial. And on and on and on.
Even elementary schools with one or two active shooter training sessions would have handled the situation with more focus and professionalism than the performance we saw last night.
