Trump is a lunatic. Time to slap #25 on his ass and get him out of our whitehouse. And he can take that gaudy gold crap with him.

At which point we get J.D. Vance, who DOESN'T have Alzheimers and would be able to run for a second term.

The only reason forcing Nixon out of office worked is that first we got rid of Spiro Agnew, forcing Nixon to nominate a new V.P., who had to be approved by congress. This effectively gave Democratic congress members veto power, so we ended up with Ford instead of someone resembling a rabid dog.

Vance has no following. He cant run his family let alone a country. Everywhere he goes he is made fun of. Even in Europe! Who is going to vote for that couch potato?

The only reason Trump is getting away with destroying this country is because all the politicians are scared of him. He can and will destroy them if they don't kiss his a--- daily. I don't think Vance has that power.

Operative word: "think." Do you want to bet the country on this perception?

MAGA shows all signs of being a cult. These are not rational people, but they're Trump's base. The way Trump threatens GOP lawmakers is by saying he'll support someone else to primary them, and the threat works because his base will do whatever they're told to do. So it pretty much depends on which way the base jumps, and the base isn't rational.

I was going to be annoyed at you for leading with "morbidly obese" about Trump -- not that I don't HATE him, but because there's so much else to attack him on other than the fact that he's fat. BUT then I read your article! Yes! STFU, Trump. You live in a glass house. You don't get to throw rocks. Also, as an Illinois resident, I'm grateful every day for J. B. Pritzker.

This is absolutely true. During his first term, while meeting with other world leaders, it was decided to take a group picture outside in a picturesque site on the corner. Everyone walked to the corner, including the women in heels and then they had to stand there forever while a golf cart was found for Trump. He finally rolled up, bulled his way to the front of the group, with his chin stuck up in the air arrogantly and acted like he was an emperor. On the golf course, he actually drives his golf cart onto the green, which is a big no-no. On the other hand, I've seen him walk across the south lawn to the helicopter, just like every other president. I guess the golf cart depends on if he wants to look presidential or like an emperor.

trump** is lying again. The worst crime statistics are in red cities and red states, but that would be counter to his message, if he even knows that. He's living in a fantasy, and he wants to drag the rest of us into it. Policies based on fantasy never work out.

Deploying the National Guard to DC is not only killing the local economy, according to real reporting, not fantasy, they are not being deployed to the parts of the city (e.g., SE) where it might just possibly make a difference. That's too far off the tourist path to be seen, and the guardsmen might be in actual danger if they went there. It's counter to his narrative, again.

As for the water, I live in California. The water he keeps bragging about "sending" to LA never got there. It can't. There's no route to send it. So he ordered part of our precious water that we store in the winter for use in the summer, to be thrown away for his fantasy, and so he could brag about it — brag about doing something stupid.

We need that water in the summer to serve our cities and irrigate our crops. But he's deported or frightened away so many of our farm workers that we don't have any crops to harvest anyway.

Make trump** go away so we can get along with living life safely and sanely again.

I'm not sure of that. I'm expecting a bloodbath in the GOP once he is gone. There is no clear successor; autocrats typically do not designate a successor. If what we read about Republicans saying in private things they are afraid to say publicly because of him, once he's gone, those voices may become louder.

Look at the number of people who wanted to run for president until he crowded them all out. Many of them will want to be the next leader. I see a no-holds-barred battle to achieve that position. Bloodbath!

I don't know if you are aware, but a couple of years ago, Trump formally took control of the RNC. He isn't just the president. He literally controls the party, and it is not like other presidents who get their choice of party chairs, and then the chair goes when they go, Trump has literally taken over the whole party to the degree that he will decide if the Republicans hold a primary in 2028 and when it will start. As Reince Priebus said on ABC, the GOP primary won't start until Trump tells them to.---Jason

The man is so bone fucking stupid that he thinks water automatically flows from north to south, and releasing billions of gallons of reserve water into the Central Valley is going magically end up on LA. It's also COMPLETELY INSANE that he thinks nobody "allowed" water to flow from the PNW to California in order to fight the LA Fires. He clearly does not understand how geography even works! And there is NO WAY you can fight a massive fire storm pushed by 100mph winds even if you had all the water in the world because the ONLY way to fight those kinds of fires is with air assets which were GROUNDED due to the hurricane force winds.

The guy is a fucking IMBECILE who thinks he somehow "saved" LA with his thousand soldiers even though they were only clustered around a few key buildings. Trump did not "save" LA because LA DID NOT NEED SAVING IN THE FIRST PLACE.

We give the microphone to the most ridiculous moron on the planet and then amplify it all over the place. Why is that? Do we like to read BS and nonsense? Because that is all that comes out of drumpf's face. Mostly I don't read it and I have stopped reading some people who claim to be journalists and authors and editors who write their content on topics for clicks and likes.

We need to be paying attention to things like Kilmar Abrego Garcia who is still out there taking the brunt of all the force to try to get around due process and if he loses, who will be next? Michael Popok has been on top of this.

National Guard troops, now armed, being sent to our cities and wandering around intimidating American Citizens - these people are our neighbors, our friends. Why are they doing this to our neighbors and friends? Is Chicago or Baltimore going to be able to stop this nonsense? How about Philadelphia?

The Epstein Files - we need to keep that alive and get the truth out. The U.S. government using grants as extortion to buy into private companies to set up a sovereign wealth fund that only drumpf could control. Watching and reporting on the annoying gnats that are MAGAs and all their falling apart or whatever over stupidity is not where our focus should be. We also need to steer away from writers and content creators whose sole message is to get us all to run around scared out of our minds hopeless and with our hair on fire.

Staying calm, staying together, stay engaged, staying informed and taking action is the way we advance our battle lines. Continuing to fight is our biggest hope for winning - we need 50 million people, not 2 million. We get ignored because 2 million people is not enough of a force to be reckoned with. 5 million people are not enough to cause much of a stir. We need 50 million, a 100 million, 150 million. How do we get there? I wish I had the answer - but I know we are all smart people and we can come up with the answer - more coverage that will call to all Americans who still want to live in a free country…
