With apologies to the investigative reporters who work there, This made me happy. The NYT deserves to be attacked by Trump. They are part of the reason we are here. Maggie Haberman in particular with her stupid access journalism helped ruin our country. We had a flawed but decent president and they destroyed him. We had an economy that was the envy of the world and they wouldn’t report on that, only reporting on Trump, like he would make everything better. Everything Trump touches gets destroyed. The NYT chose to believe a convicted felon. They continue to report half truths. Hope Trump makes their lives the living hell we now are in.
I don't support the Times. In all fairness I have to say that I don't think they "believed" him, but the facts would not sell newspapers/streaming service. Plus, most likely, they didn't want their house burned down!
Whether they believed him or not, people will quote their articles, accurate or not. The NYT slants their coverage and soft pedals most anything Trump or Republican related. Ex.- Kamala Harris’ laugh was a huge deal (breaker) for them- but not trumps dementia, sleeping through anything and everything, and ultimately the dismantling of our democracy by Trump and the doge crew which the NYT should have been consistently reporting on the illegality of. Newspapers are not supposed to be solely about $$ making money. They have constitutional rights to report facts.

I think the Times helped give up Trump by normalizing him, treating him as a normal politician. And I was disgusted to see him still in the headlines and above the fold when Melissa Hortman and her husband were murdered. They were below the fold and should have been the headline.
I canceled the NYT subscription and the WaPo subscription. I find my news from other sources—zero sympathy for both publications. I hope they continue to lose customers; they deserve it. Bezos' controlling the editorial pages was the last straw for me. CNN cannot get their shit together as to whether they are pro trump or not.
I haven't read NYT since the start of the 2024 campaign because I could see the biased writing on the paper! And CNN has been and always will be just noise. Glad to see they retained a Itty bitty piece of spine ... but I still won't be supporting either organization anytime soon.
