Some House Democrats were in Newark, NJ protesting the reopening of an ICE detention facility. There was an altercation and the Trump administration is threatening to arrest the Democrats.
It was 20 ICE agents, wearing masks cause they are chicken shit bullies, against 4! This is all so disturbing, disgusting, anti-American-it has to STOP.
If 20 ICE and HSI agents are the problem, confront them with 200 or more protestors. They believe they are immune from opposition. They must follow the law and that does not mean bullying protestors - which is what we saw in New Jersey!
I don’t believe they’re ICE agents more like the J6 traitors he pardoned wearing face masks with no ID. He pardoned all 1600 to use as his personal army. We need to rip off their masks and take photos.
I thought that violent protest was fine according to Trump administration. All the Jan 6 mob were heroes, remember. Those who defacated in the Capitol building were hostages. How quickly things can change!!!
More than that, we need to support their work. If you can join your congressperson in a protest or even a peaceful assembly, do that. ICE, HSI and their ilk need to understand that they must operate within the law. The masks and no uniforms or badges smack of 1930's Nazi Germany. Supporting your elected members in large numbers will send a message. Outnumber the thugs. They will back down. If they threaten you with weapons, shout louder. They need to understand that we will not accept this lawlessness any longer.

Mid-terms will not change what Supreme Court is impotent to stop. You ARE aware that Trump is a profuse liar, right? When he says he won’t seek an unconstitutional third term, believe otherwise. He is there for power as well as the corruption, otherwise he wouldn’t be abusing the power of his office and consolidating into the executive branch (taking over authorities Congress is supposed to hold like the power of the purse, etc.)

It is infuriating. For some reason I remember a movie long ago and how it ended sticks out. Movie was called “Bless the Beast and the Children.” It ended with people were coming to kill the buffalo, and then children were trying to frighten them to run away but they wouldn’t run, they were crying and screaming and when they arrived to kill the buffalo one child put himself in the way and he was shot and killed. When that happened the buffalo finally began to run away. Then that song began to play. That’s how I view our elected democrats as those buffalo. Plenty of warning they are coming to kill them but they are just there grazing.

The first is that with a unified voice it be stated that Trump broke his oath of office and using the office of the presidency to wage war on the US CONSTITUTION, replacing said with absolute power and using said power to violate people’s Due Process rights and in harming these people under the protection of the US CONSTITUTION is waging war on America. My take on the obviously staged ICE arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka: the mayor is running for NJ governor this November 4th and the primary is on June 10th. Dump and his goons probably thought arresting Baraka would make him look bad in the eyes of voters, and doom his chances.
It's pretty standard for totolitarian governments to arrest both protesters and political opponents and the U.S. is obviously following the Russian model (without the defenestration).
