The CBO analysis found that the House passed One Big Beautiful Bill would add $2.4 trillion to deficit and take away healthcare from 11 million people.
The CBO spends at lot of time to analyze legislation and are required to put a cost on the legislation they are very rarely wrong . Most of the MAGA folks have no idea what the CBO responsibilities are. They just listen to TACO Trump.
Also along with the CBO report is the GAO report this is how congress for 50 years gets all the true facts on legislation. But it appears most republicans are ignoring the report.
We need to understand if they decided that extending the 2017 tax cuts is considered a zero-sum item in the budget. Because -- it added trillions of dollars to our national debt and has kept us in deficit spending since it was passed. It will continue to add trillions of dollars to the national debt and the new spending is probably the 3.7 trillion they are talking about.
That would mean that the real cost of this bill is more like over 6 trillion in spending that there is no revenue for. And, the revenue will decrease as more and more people are deported and not paying taxes any longer.

Tariffs (taxes) will depress purchases by mainstream consumers and further slow the markets. The downward spiral will continue.
