If people with mental health issues weren't able to get guns so easily we wouldn't have mass shootings, how fucking stupid are they? It's guns geez

Actually it's not guns, because guns do not shoot people by themselves. It's obvious that massacres like this are not the gun's fault. The problem is guns falling into the wrong hands. And some guns that are particularly lethal should be more highly restricted because they have no legitimate use for a civilian. So why don't these Republicans support legislation that would prevent those innocent little guns from falling into the wrong hands? Why aren't they supporting legislation that would increase mental health intervention, instead of doing the opposite? They're talking the talk about "law and order," but they're not walking the walk. Something's causing a lot of unnecessary violent deaths in this country, and if it isn't the inanimate objects called "guns," what is it, and why do the Republicans refuse to do anything about it? The Preamble to the Constitution commits the government to "insure domestic tranquility" and "promote the general Welfare." Any reading of the Second Amendment that lead to normalizing gun violence is fundamentally at odds with the Constitution's core purposes.

The Rapepublucans refuse to do anything about it because it’s all about the money. They have always backed the NRA. As far as I’m concerned they have the blood on their hands of all the innocent victims killed and maimed. As long as they have money they don’t care what happens to anyone. That tells me all I need to know about how pro life they are.

Obviously it is mental health issues but it’s the guns that are killing people. No more semi automatic guns and make it harder to get a gun with back ground checks and let’s not cut mental health funding so people can get help where needed. When we have more guns than people that’s a huge problem.

I don't think any credible journalist should ever show up at one of these ridiculous "briefings"

That man chosen to ask the question made a fool out of himself. By her even responding just added to the Three Stooges movie. No one wants to see this movie. This country is trying to survive without an acting government. Fact: We have a gun problem.

These people are "okay" with a lot of things and the list grows as the irrational cultists continue to wait for their messages. Recently it was okay to have children praying in a Catholic school be killed by a shooter who did not come through the door, but shot through the windows. So much for VD Jance's comment on needing better locks on the doors. Now what, VD? No windows?

It's campaign season and we need to relentlessly, tenaciously, consistently, fearlessly, determinedly, persistently paint all of these people with all the things they are "okay" with and vote their leaders out of every office at every level of government. They cannot control our lives or our deaths. To see more, check this out: "Splatter Them With The Stains of Their Support – Paint All MAGAs With These Stains! Vote them out of office!" - https://bluesmurf.substack.com/p/splatter-them-with-the-stains-of

Spread the word against any MAGA candidate! Make sure they carry the stains of their support and supporters. Campaign for "Freedom & Democracy!"

Get used to it, folks. Trump and the GOP don't give a flying fuck about the slaughter of children. Immediately after the school shooting in Uvalde, a pediatrician inspected the bodies of those kids before they were removed. One little boy about age 6 had been shot so many times that he was almost decapitated. And what was the response from the GOP super majority in Austin? They passed a bill greatly expanding gun rights for Texas residents. Trump and the other sadists in the GOP couldn't care less about protecting children. To them, kids are just moving targets to help improve their aim.

What did they pay Tatum? Does he need a pardon for something we haven’t heard about yet? If guns were regulated and assault weapons banned, people with mental health issues wouldn’t have access to them.

Guns don’t save people. People save people. Unless the people are idiots, and allow more and more idiots to have guns. And then this idiot launched into “yeah, let’s send more armed men to Chicago.” Right, that’ll help.

As skinfolk, but not kinfolk of Brandon Tatum I say he should be ashamed of allowing himself to be used in such token fashion, but I realize for him it about grift, not greatness. Chicago is neither an issue (as crime is down), nor the point. Let’s talk about the crisis of young white men who are in crisis shooting up schools, because last time I checked THAT’S choose these mass murderers are: entitled little white boys with access to militarized weapons!

You know the day Newtown happened, I was getting a blood transfusion and looked up at the TV and saw "New..." and turned .y head because I assumed it was another shooting in my hometown of New Haven because si ce I was a kid in that inner Connecticut city we were dodging bullets as babies and no one cared because we were Black and Brown. I went to school with kids I saw one day and their bloody bodies on the fro t of the newspaper the next day. The day before Newtown, they were looking at doing a gun initiative in my hometown, not Newtown. But when I heard the announcer say Newtown and that they put every school on lock down, including Hamden where my kid was in school, I panicked and then a nurse screamed. Her kids were at Sandy Hook.

So, please KKKaroline, tell me what will you all do?!
