I have been commenting for several years about Trump's cognitive decline, and the corporate media's complicity. It is way past time to observe and speak about his dementia. It has been easier for them to talk about his sociopathy--which, in truth, is really psychopathy.

Just as the media should not have slapped a diagnosis on Biden, we should not do the same thing to Trump. We aren't doctors and haven't examined him, but I think the word decline is appropriate.---Jason

Maybe we can forego the Dementia and blame one of these since he is so good at lying

1. Delusional disorder, previously called paranoid disorder, is a type of serious mental illness called a psychotic disorder. People who have it can't tell what's real from what is imagined. Delusions are the main symptom of delusional disorder. They're unshakable beliefs in something that isn't true or based on reality.

2.Pathological lying and manipulation are frequently associated with certain personality disorders, particularly antisocial personality disorder (APD), narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), and borderline personality disorder (BPD). Individuals with these disorders may lie to manipulate others, gain sympathy, or maintain a false sense of self.

3.People with APD are characterized by a disregard for social norms and the rights of others. They may lie compulsively to manipulate situations, exploit others for personal gain, or cause harm.

4.Pseudologia fantastica (PF), also known as pathological lying or mythomania, is a mental disorder characterized by persistent, pervasive, and often compulsive lying. PF causes dysfunction in many realms of life.

I will stick with psychopathy and dementia. You venture beyond my comfort zone.

Looks like accurate description to me.

Yep, that’s our prez.

Interesting breakdown of Trump’s likely breakdowns. Do you lean toward one of in particular, Stop the BS?

Stop the BS247's avatar

I leaned toward #3 the last sentence was very convincing. I'm not a doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist, but I have all 3 in my family and it was very interesting reading their highlighted text books.

Dorothy Lewis's avatar

I'll take APD for the win

Pamela S.'s avatar

And dementia and psychopathy are two entirely different things. So we have double trouble.

Kate Madison's avatar

Yes, I know. I'm a retired psychologist--well acquainted with both. It is quite strange to me that talking about Trump's sociopathy (which they do not call

psychopathy) has not been a problem. However, speaking about his dementia has been off limits.

Sarah Jones & Jason Easley's avatar

As a retired psychologist, you are more qualified to make a diagnosis. I don't feel comfortable doing that myself.---Jason

Let’s all just agree on “bat shit crazy”

If you read closely, you will see that Trump is a psychopath. He is a convicted felon, sexual abuser and has zero empathy. Psychopaths most always cross the line into

criminality, while sociopaths rarely do. In fact, many successful people are likely sociopaths, because they do not feel bound by rules that most people respect. Psychopaths are more active in their disrespect for rules--i.e. mob bosses and enforcers. Trump and company are part of that group.

Rhoda Ozen's avatar

Sociopaths have the ability to change and become part of any group of people so they see nothing but, another part of the group.

They’re able to mimic sympathy and empathy.

They are therefore able to hide their own feelings towards an upcoming victim.

Psychopaths don’t show one iota of empathy, compassion, or respect.

They’re a blank slate. You can see it in their eyes the complete emptiness, the inability to understand why people get upset or care.

Sociopaths adjust to each situation. Whether it be a happy, sad, or angry attitude they must mimic and they do it well.

Tony's avatar

From what I've read...a person can be both a sociopath and a psychopath.

Beverly Tenkman's avatar

Psychopaths cannot feel empathy but they can study normal reactions and act them out, coming across as likable

Tony's avatar

The "corporate media" need not talk about T-Rump or his "cognitive decline"...all WE need to do is watch any of the tens of thousands of times that the orange doofus is where he longs to be, where he loves to be...and that is in front of any active camera he can find.

Every day on every CNN program they push Tapper’s screed. I stopped watching Joe the day he kkssed the ring and I started watching CNN on that day. Now what do I do? Well, for starters, I spend most of my time on Substack!

sherry's avatar

You aren't alone. Many of us enjoy the substacks now.

Hanief's avatar

The list seems to be growing, includes MJoe and his wife, sloppy Bill, law firms, and more! Seems like bending the knee(or kissing the ring/rim) is becoming the fashionable thing to do!

FB is not allowing me to repost anything regarding the regime’s actions or statements. I’ve had numerous posts rejected for all of the various negative reasons, but they never let me know what was rejected, just that I broke the rules.

Kay-El's avatar

You’re not alone. I’ve seen several people on various Substacks mention it. Andy Borowitz did too.

Chris David's avatar

That's very interesting. I wonder if anyone else here or elsewhere is having the same problem. I'm not a FB user so can't test this out from my end in Britain, but this sounds like something that would be worth more detailed investigation.

Has Zuckerberg been bought (or coerced?) hook, line and sinker?

Aviana NW's avatar

Didn’t know how to modify my post, so making a revision here. Many posts are being blocked/rejected, but some are being allowed. They don’t let me know which ones I’m being reprimanded for, so I can’t say for sure they’re only Trump-related posts.

David Wear's avatar

Same here. Since my shared posts often have the latest outrage, crime, or public response to actions taken by Trump’s administration, I am assuming FB programmed some sort of blanket denial of negative press about the Dear Leader coming from Substack sources.

NopeNotToday's avatar

Sounds like reddit !!!!

David Wear's avatar

Me too. I used to be able to share posts from substack; now FB rejects this practice for a variety of “reasons” that make no sense, or could apply to just about anything. Like my shared post has a link to another article or site that may or may not be asking the reader to give information, or donate, or may attempt to gather data without their knowledge. Really? Facebook,of all agents, is worried about that?

S hoffmann's avatar

What about trying to cover up all of his and their illegal activities?

Dorothy E. Nichols's avatar

Apparently, his presidential library won't have anything in it except his speeches and "the plane!"

NopeNotToday's avatar

Trump has already stolen the Kennedy Center and will just change the name. Wait and see.

Then again maybe we need to track the decline of the population in disUSA that invited such a creature lead them (both by intent and by default).

Please tell me how this fever dream I've been living since 2015 can possibly end well before I die. I'll be 79 this year (same as Stupido) and I can't for the life of me see "America" waking the Fu*k up in the next couple years. Just nudge me when it's time to vote. I don't want to know about the other shit!

ZooKpr's avatar

Yay! I will be 81 this summer. Guess what. I can still balance my checkbook,, clean my house, cook supper ever night and care for numerous pets, all with one eye. I have doubts that this America I love will see the light before I pass over to wherever.

Bruce Jordan's avatar

They're hiding Trump's remarks because they're drivel.

Sarah Jones & Jason Easley's avatar

That would be nice if it was that simple, but they are undermining another piece of accountability with the removal of transcripts.--Jason

Stop the BS247's avatar

That's okay many of us either screenshot them or save them in a file. Culmination of everybody can put them all back when he's gone. 💙

DebbieSue's avatar

Finally!! Somebody said something about the hiding of Trump’s obvious decline. Why do other media outlets not point this out to their readers, watchers and listeners???

Stephanie Helm's avatar

Good? My husband has Dementia' Has had it for awhile Trump does as well, but NOT full blown YET, but getting there pretty fast.

XHM's avatar

Both my parents died from/with dementia related illnesses. They managed to hide it more than Trump can. But the traits are there. Without doubt.

Wayne's avatar

I have considered this as a GOP tactic to hide the natural consequences of his mental illness as well.

Robert Fine's avatar

I've said it before and I will reiterate: main stream American media is an enemy of the people not because they report on Trump but because they refuse to. They are protecting Trump because they know that what bleeds leads. Trump is big money to the media.

All you ever have to do is follow the money.

GJK's avatar

The press is afraid of Trump, DOJ , IRS , and FBI. J Edgar is a rookie compared to what we are seeing now. SCOTUS is ineffective and congress is worse.

Semolina Pilchard's avatar

They’re as transparent as explosive diarrhea

Paul Rees's avatar

Well at least that stops after a while.

debra's avatar

For someone who is so in our faces (and I'm pretty sure Youtube is still there to prevent the gaslighting), Trump sure does want to hide.

Strong & Free 🍁 - Eliza's avatar

Does a FOIA request work for getting access to these transcripts? KKKaroline keeps saying this is the most transparent administration ever. Has anyone asked her about this? Would love to hear her answer.
