Bill O’Reilly Claims that NBC is Terrorizing his Family

Fox News’s Bill O’Reilly recently had new FNC star Glenn Beck on to rejoice about their ratings, and deliver a warning to Beck that now his ratings are big, NBC and the Internet are going to hire people to come after him, personally hurt him, and terrorize his family.

O’Reilly claims that NBC is out to get him because FNC is taking away millions of dollars from NBC parent GE, “No, it’s about money. Because Immelt and Zucker, the two villains at NBC, have directly ordered this. They’ve hired the guys to do this. And they’ve done it because they have no other way to compete. Now, both of those men are in trouble. They could be fired at any time, because the performance of General Electric and NBC is so abysmal. But they did it, so then, “Let’s see if we can drive Beck and O’Reilly to do something crazy. Let’s see if we can do — hurt them personally. Terrorize their families.”

It is a safe bet the O’Reilly does need security around his house. All famous people have problems with the obsessed and that kind of thing, but it doesn’t help O’Reilly’s cause that he makes his living by preaching fear, anger, and hate every night. Showing up at someone’s home is never justifiable, but there is no evidence that NBC thugs are out to get him.

Frankly, O’Reilly doesn’t cost NBC and GE anything. News is highly profitable. NBC News is one of the few areas of the network that is growing and making money. Sorry to burst your delusion Mr. O’Reilly, but the revenue you generate for Fox is small potatoes to a corporate giant like GE. General Electric is not going to be made or broken by Bill O’Reilly

This is part of Bill O’Reilly shtick, and it plays right in to the paranoid mindset that’s the basis for the Fox News audience. FNC viewers thrive on the ideas of vast conspiracies, and enemies lurking in the night. O’Reilly is preaching to the choir. What Fox News has is a very successful business model that has left them unchallenged for conservative viewers.

While MSNBC and CNN are splitting the audience from the left, FNC has no competition on the right. Bill O’Reilly could only get any crazier if he did his show naked, while interviewing a duck about George Clooney. Why is it when O’Reilly talks about NBC terrorizing his family, I picture Steve Carell and Jay Leno is ski masks trying to break into his house? I don’t think that Beck and O’Reilly need NBC to drive them crazy, they are perfectly capable of doing it on their own.
