Limbaugh Claims That Obama is Showing Signs of Being Unhinged

On his radio show today, Rush Limbaugh claimed that President Barack Obama is showing signs of being unhinged and unstable, all because of Limbaugh’s crusade against healthcare reform. This is just more delusional wishful thinking by Limbaugh, who by the way is an expert on unhinged behavior.

Limbaugh said, “We on the other hand have discussed with our audiences day after day after day despite the best efforts of the drive by media to deliver national healthcare to Obama and his party, and from right now the brakes are on, and they are in a state of disarray. Obama is showing signs of being unhinged, and instability.

No, unhinged behavior is claiming that President Obama’s statement on healthcare today was delayed because he had to wait to hear what Limbaugh said on healthcare before he made any comments:

Limbaugh has been trying to credit for the slow progress of healthcare reform legislation for a few days now. Of course, this isn’t true. The process has slowed because of infighting among Democrats over what the final bill should look like. If the Republican Party can’t stop healthcare reform, then Rush Limbaugh can do even less.

The reality is that Republicans can’t kill healthcare reform, so they are hoping to draw the process out and let Democratic infighting kill the bill for them. I don’t believe that Obama is becoming unhinged or cracking. If anything Obama has quit playing bi-partisan games and finally demonstrated a willingness to get tough and use his popularity and power.

Obama doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who is going to become unhinged by anything, unlike Rush Limbaugh, or Sarah Palin, who is already unhinged. The Democrats are going to get the healthcare bill done, the only question surrounds whether it will on Obama’s timetable or not. This isn’t 1994, and the Republicans don’t have the votes or popularity to stop it.
