Glenn Beck Adds Some Sexism to His Latest Attack on Healthcare

On his radio show today Glenn Beck wove a new conspiracy theory into his latest attack on healthcare reform, and just for kicks added some sexism. Beck said that labor unions and Soros Foundation are behind healthcare reform. He added healthcare reform is like asking a crazy woman to marry you, because chicks never change.

Here is the video courtesy of Media Matters:

Beck said, “This guy is sly as a fox. He knows exactly what he is doing, and it’s not him. He’s the front man. When does this guy have time to be president? Have you noticed how much he’s on television? He’s not designing this stuff. He’s not the man. He’s the salesman. He’s the front man. The labor unions and special interest groups and the Soros Foundations those are the people who are putting all this together, and they have put it together a long long time ago, since FDR first said these words, “Once you open this door.” No matter what they tell you, oh this one’s not so bad. Yes it is. It’s bad for a myriad of reasons. The number one reason is the infrastructure never goes away. The control never goes away.”

He then added the sexism, “The day this is passed, remember this is just like a marriage. If your future husband is speaking ill of his future wife or being in any way abuse or a jerk on the day of the wedding, look out. A year from the wedding he is going to be a nightmare, the same for her. If she’s a witch the day of the wedding, well, women are different. If she is a witch before you marry her, they’re going to be witches on the day of the wedding. Trust me on that one. It’s just the way chicks are they go crazy on wedding day, so six months, a year, the day you ask her to marry you, if she’s crazy, look out, it ain’t gonna work. The day they put this healthcare plan through is our wedding day. It doesn’t get better than that.”

What we have learned here is that labor unions and George Soros are the ones really behind healthcare reform, even though George Soros was born in 1930, and union movement didn’t actually blossom until the post war boom. By the way, Glenn managed to use part of an FDR quote that had nothing to do with healthcare.

If Republicans are still wondering why a majority of women don’t support, maybe they should look at Beck’s marriage advice a little more closely. Basically, he is saying that all women are irrational and can never change, because women are different from men in that way. Notice that men are jerks but women are witches. I think we have found yet another subject that Glenn Beck knows absolutely nothing about.
