Ted Cruz Courts Republican Voters by Starring in a Coloring Book

Sen. Ted Cruz reaching out to Republican voters by starring in a coloring book that calls him a real life hero while combining lessons about the American political system with the Bible.

The coloring book is titled Ted Cruz To The Future, and according to Politico,

The activity book seeks to teach lessons about Cruz’s personal life, the American political system and the Bible. One page features a quick profile of the Cruz family, noting that Cruz met his wife, Heidi, while working on George W. Bush’s presidential campaign. Another page lists the Ten Commandments underneath the caption, “‘In God We Trust:’ National Motto of America.”

“We’ve talked to a lot of parents around the country, and they really enjoy seeing modern day people in children’s literature,” RBCB Founder Wayne Bell said in a promotional video posted on YouTube. “It’s sort of a comic book as well; it highlights his family, who he is, and what he does.”

The publisher claims that the book is non-partisan, but it is full of misinformation. For example, Sen. Cruz’s coloring book states, “millions of citizens believe Obama Care is worse than any war,” and “At least American soldiers have weapons with which to defend themselves.”

Either Ted Cruz is trying to brainwash America’s children into hating the ACA, or he has finally found the perfect medium to reach Republican voters. Cruz might have finally found something that Republicans can relate to. It’s fitting that Cruz has his own comic book, because he is a human cartoon.

Cruz clearly has presidential ambitions and delusions of grandeur. Sen. Cruz thinks he is anointed superhero, and the fact that the coloring combines his personal story, the American politician system, and the Bible.

Ted Cruz is trying to color his way to the White House in 2016, but his biggest problem remains an inability to stay between the lines.
