John Boehner Hints At A Criminal Investigation Into Hillary Clinton Over Her Email Server

In a statement about Hillary Clinton turning over her email server, Speaker of the House John Boehner suggested that Republicans want a criminal investigation into the Democratic frontrunner.

Boehner responded to Clinton turning over her email server by saying, “It’s about time. Secretary Clinton’s previous statements that she possessed no classified information were patently untrue. Her mishandling of classified information must be fully investigated.”

John Boehner has a troubled relationship with the truth, yet he had the nerve to call Hillary Clinton a liar.

Republicans remain so terrified of Hillary Clinton that they are willing to abuse the power of their congressional majority in an attempt to destroy her run for the White House. This is far from the first time that a Republican House majority has abused their powers to target the Clintons. Congress investigated the Clintons for both Whitewater and the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

According to the GAO, the independent investigations and partisan digging cost taxpayers millions of dollars. Boehner’s House is repeating the failed history of the Republican past. House Republicans have already wasted millions of dollars investigating Benghazi, and they will waste millions more investigating for Sec. Clinton’s emails.

The truth is that House Republicans are wasting the taxpayers’ money on investigations that are designed to cost Hillary Clinton the 2016 election. If Hillary Clinton were not the Democratic frontrunner, Republicans would not be investigating her emails.

The media tends to fall back on a tone of same old Clintons when they discuss stories like her emails, but Boehner’s comments are evidence that Republicans are also falling back into their same old pattern of wasting taxpayer resources on schemes to get the Clintons.

Judging from Republican witch hunts past, they will spend years looking for a smoking gun that doesn’t exist, make tons of bogus claims, and promptly forget the whole thing after Election Day 2016.
