The political and economic establishment was reeling after Bernie Sanders’ near miss in Iowa. During his victory speech in New Hampshire, Sanders rocked the establishment with a resounding win.

Video:

Sen. Sanders said, “Together, we have sent a message that will echo from Wall Street to Washington and from Maine to California that the government of this great nation belongs to all of the people and not just a handful of wealthy campaign contributors and their super PACs.”

In a rousing speech, Sanders made it clear that his Granite State victory was a message to the political and economic establishment, “Tonight, we served notice to the political and economic establishment of this country that the American people will not continue to accept a corrupt campaign finance system that is undermining American democracy and a rigged economy in which ordinary Americans work longer hours for lower wages while almost all new income and wealth goes to the top 1 percent.”

In the matchup of incrementalism versus revolution, revolution scored a big win in New Hampshire. In her concession speech, Hillary Clinton set the stage for a national fight, but what Bernie Sanders did in New Hampshire was a validation of the viability of the concept of political revolution.

The Sanders message has captured the imaginations of Democratic voters in a way that has eluded the Clinton campaign. If one believes political intangibles like passion and momentum, the Sanders campaign has both on their side. Bernie Sanders and his millions of small donors fired the first real shot in the battle for control of the country.

Hillary Clinton is struggling against Sen. Sanders because she isn’t taking on a candidate. Clinton is taking on an ideology and a movement. The Bernie Sanders campaign is bigger than Bernie Sanders. The Sanders movement is an expression of pent-up frustration combined with aspiration and idealism.

The establishment status quo was shaken to its core. Bernie Sanders and his movement to take back America are on the march against the billionaires and oligarchs.
