Senator Bernie Sanders used his victory speech after the Vermont Democratic primary to hammer the billionaires and Citizens United.

Sen. Sanders said:

This campaign is not just about electing a president. It is about transforming America. It is about making our great country the nation that it has the potential to be. It is about dealing with some unpleasant truths that exist in America today, and having the guts to confront those truths. It is about recognizing that in our state we have town meetings, and people come out, and they argue about budgets, and they come out and vote. One person, one vote.

In Vermont, billionaires don’t buy town meetings, and in America, we are going to end a corrupt campaign finance system. We can disagree in a democracy, and that is what a democracy is all about, but I hope that we can all agree that we are not going to let billionaires and their super PACs to destroy American democracy.

Sanders vowed that he will take the fight for social justice, environmental justice, and a world of peace to all of the remaining 35 states that have yet to vote. Sanders said that the people will be victorious because Wall Street may be against them, but their message is resonating. Sanders raised more money than any other candidate in February.

No matter the outcome of tonight’s primaries and caucuses, Sanders stands to pick up quite a few delegates, but he also repeated that his campaign is about more than electing a president. Sen. Sanders advanced his concept of all political revolution where Americans of all types come together to stand up to the billionaire class and give the government back to every American.

Donald Trump was already a celebrity before he ran for president. Bernie Sanders has become a national political force. Even if he loses the race for the Democratic nomination, the Sanders political revolution will live on.
